When does Tim Burton’s Batman & Batman Returns special screening show at AMC?
As a die-hard film enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement! The iconic duo of Batman and Batman Returns is getting a special remastering and will be screened back-to-back at over 160 AMC theaters on Monday, August 25. Most AMC locations have showings starting from 4:00 PM or 7:00 PM for Batman, followed by Batman Returns at 9:15 PM or 10:00 PM. I can hardly wait to immerse myself in the dark and gripping world of Gotham City on the big screen!
The screenings have been enhanced with Dolby Atmos technology for an immersive multi-dimensional audio experience, as Dolby Atmos is said to make colors more vibrant than ever before. In a statement, director Tim Burton expressed, “I hadn’t revisited these films since their creation, but watching them again with this extraordinary level of detail, aesthetics, color, and sound felt like a completely fresh experience. The combination of Dolby Atmos and Vision truly breathed new life into them.
Film enthusiasts might recognize that “Batman Returns” was the initial film to use Dolby Digital sound, making this screening a fitting return of sorts to its roots.
Tim Burton hinted at his upcoming project following Beetlejuice, which will be an animated feature. He’s previously expressed a lack of enthusiasm for creating another superhero film in the near future.
