Based on a True Story season 2 release date and bloody good first-look photos revealed!
As a long-time fan of Kaley Cuoco, I can confidently say that I have eagerly awaited every step of her career since her days on 8 Simple Rules. When I heard about Based on a True Story, I was instantly intrigued and it did not disappoint! Now, with the announcement of season 2 premiering in November 2024, I am beyond excited to dive back into this thrilling comedy series on Peacock.
I’ve been a big fan of Kaley Cuoco ever since the days of “8 Simple Rules” and I’ve always admired her ability to choose fantastic roles, both for herself and for successful projects. If you loved her recent work in “Based on a True Story” on Peacock, then get ready for some exciting news!
The sequel of the series “Based on a True Story,” which is inspired by real events, will begin airing on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, on Peacock. Much like its predecessor, it consists of 8 episodes, all of which will be released on the premiere day itself. Gear up for an exciting binge-watching experience! Since its initial release, this comedy-thriller has gained significant popularity on Peacock among viewers, and we’re eagerly anticipating the start of season 2, as the first season debuted back in June 2023.
Apart from revealing the release date for you, we also have some additional treats in store! Peacock has unveiled the official synopsis for season 2 of “Based on a True Story“, along with exclusive sneak peeks of what’s to come. What’s even more exciting is that Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress, Melissa Fumero, has joined the cast as Drew, a new friend for Ava. Take a look at their photo together after reading the description!
Based on a True Story season two finds new parents Ava (Kaley Cuoco) and Nathan Bartlett (Chris Messina) three months into parenthood. Focused on taking care of her family, Ava is determined to resist her true crime obsession and return to work as a real estate agent while Nathan trains private tennis clients. But a series of new murders pulls her back in – is Matt (Tom Bateman) behind the slayings? Is Tory (Liana Liberato), now entangled in a relationship with Matt, in danger? For a while, life is good — Ava’s TikTok habit and her new friend Drew (Melissa Fumero) provide a welcome distraction, and Nathan’s all in on reigniting his tennis career as well as his friendship with Matt — until danger comes knocking, literally.
Make sure to revisit the opening image for a sneak peek of Ava and Nathan in season 2. There’s even more to explore! As you can see just above, we have the married couple with their newborn, as well as a glimpse of Ava and Drew together. I’m curious to find out what Fumero’s character contributes to the storyline. She certainly seems like a valuable addition.
It appears that not only is Nathan’s tennis career thriving, but also his friendship with the infamous serial killer Matt, known as the Westside Ripper. Currently, these two are seen on the tennis court together. Moreover, as hinted in the synopsis, Tory’s connection to Matt will undoubtedly bring complications and create some intricate knots in the storyline.
In conclusion, these images are the most striking and memorable, hinting at further violence and bloodshed. It appears Ava is in a house covered in blood, suggesting that Matt may continue his violent rampage. He’s seen brandishing a bloody axe and gesturing towards someone. I can hardly wait to see what unfolds next in this gripping tale! Excited yet, my friend?
Based on a True Story premieres with all 8 episodes Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024 on Peacock.
