Barry Keoghan has undergone a striking makeover for his role as Ringo Starr in the upcoming Beatles biopic. Fans were surprised to see his new look, which he revealed before the film’s release.
Sam Mendes will direct four films, each one telling the story of a different member of the band – Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and George Harrison.
Barry Keoghan, known for his role in Saltburn, plays drummer Starr in the new film Crime 101. Photos from the premiere show him sporting his trademark dark bowl haircut as he portrays the character from Starr’s point of view.

Paul Mescal will portray Paul McCartney, one of only two surviving Beatles alongside Ringo Starr. Harris Dickinson will play John Lennon, and Joseph Quinn will be George Harrison in the film.
Although the specific dates aren’t confirmed yet, Mendes revealed that all four movies are scheduled to hit theaters in April 2028.

I heard on Jimmy Kimmel Live that Barry Keoghan actually met the real-life Starr before he started playing the role, which is pretty cool. It must have helped him get into character!
He told the host that he went to the man’s house and the man played the drums. The man invited him to play as well, but he clarified he wasn’t drumming with Ringo Starr.
Honestly, talking to him was so nerve-wracking! I couldn’t even make eye contact, I was so flustered – it felt just like how I am right now, actually. But he was really cool about it, and just told me it was okay to look at him.
Barry Keoghan’s next role is in the film Crime 101, where he’ll appear with Chris Hemsworth and Monica Barbaro. The movie centers around a famous thief, Mike Davis (played by Hemsworth), who partners with insurance broker Sharon Colvin (Halle Berry) for a risky and important robbery.

Detective Lou Lubesnick (Mark Ruffalo) is right behind Davis, convinced he’s figured out the thief’s next target.
Keoghan plays Ormon, a competing thief who could ruin the main characters’ scheme with his particularly violent methods.
Directed by Bart Layton, Crime 101 is set to be released in cinemas on February 13.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Taylor Swift, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
