Oh my goodness, I’m just thrilled for James Lewis! He’s always seemed so lovely on Bargain Hunt, and I was so happy to read he’s found love again! Apparently, he’s married his husband – and isn’t he lucky? He’s found someone 18 years younger after his marriage ended. Honestly, it just warms my heart to see him so happy! I’ve been following his career for ages, and he deserves all the good things!
The 53-year-old TV personality married Ed Otter in a small, private ceremony last September, with only 50 people in attendance.
Oh my gosh, and his daughter, Arabella – she’s only seventeen! – was there too! It was so sweet seeing him with her at the ceremony, you could tell how much he loves her even though she’s from his previous relationship. I was totally keeping an eye on her, she’s absolutely gorgeous and seems so lovely. I just adore seeing their father-daughter bond!
Ed specializes in toys, trains, and collectibles at the auction house, a place where his former wife, Arabella, also used to be employed.
In a new interview, James has reflected on finding love again after his split from Annabelle.
He shared with The Mirror that it felt like love at first sight. He’d recently separated from his wife, the mother of his daughter, and was open to a new relationship.
The celebrity also shared that they had briefly thought about running away to get married in the United States, but ultimately decided they wanted their daughter, Arabella, to be part of the celebration.
Originally, the couple intended to run away and marry each other in the mountains of Yellowstone. However, they changed their plans and decided to include their parents and his daughter in the wedding.
James shared that his daughter now refers to both him and Ed as ‘Dad.’ He explained, ‘They have a wonderful relationship, and I feel very fortunate.’
However, the couple’s big day followed closely after a serious health scare.
James, a two-time cardiac arrest survivor, experienced a dangerously high heart rate – over 250 beats per minute – on his wedding day.
This is significantly higher than the normal adult resting range of 60 to 100 beats per minute.
The TV star revealed that his cardiologist had advised him to avoid high-stress situations.
He said he understood the warning, but even though he didn’t want to get married again, he still planned to participate in future charity auctions.
James also praised his new husband’s easy-going nature.
He explained that working with Ed is a lot smoother than it was with his former spouse, praising Ed’s kindness and relaxed personality.
A contestant from the popular TV show Bargain Hunt recently shared her experience on the program, including what it was like working with the show’s experts.
The popular show first aired in 2000 and has since broadcast more than 1,800 episodes over 71 seasons.
Over the years, many people have been featured on the show, including Alicia Humphreys and her father-in-law back in 2019.
Oh my gosh, I was screaming when I finally saw them! It was episode 26 of series 53 – you guys, they filmed it in Grantham, which is amazing – and there they were, the red team duo, finally revealed! I seriously couldn’t believe my eyes. I’ve been waiting for this moment forever!
Alicia explained to the Express that she decided to participate because she was completing a ‘before 30’ bucket list, and appearing on TV was one of the items.
I was chatting with my father-in-law, and we jokingly decided to apply for the TV show Bargain Hunt together.
Charlie Ross hosted the episode, with Gary Pe and Nick Hall appearing as experts.
Today on BBC iPlayer, watch bargain hunters search for treasures in Grantham, guided by experts Nick Hall and Gary Pe.
