Barbra Streisand made a rare personal post on social media Tuesday for a very romantic reason.

On the occasion of their anniversary, the 83-year-old woman with diverse talents, who expressed frustration over not getting equal pay on major film productions in Hollywood, extended warm wishes to her husband James Brolin, also 84 years old.

The couple definitely crossed paths for the first time at a blind date, which was actually organized at a dinner gathering hosted by their common acquaintances.

‘Everyone could see it immediately,’ Brolin’s manager Jeff Wald told McCalls in 1998.

Instead of gazing around or interacting with others, it seemed as if they hadn’t consumed anything either. Eventually, they departed jointly.

Due to the constant public attention surrounding the People singer, the couple frequently opted for dates by taking drives in Brolin’s truck. These outings often led them an hour or more into San Bernardino county, California. With Brolin at the wheel and Streisand preparing sandwiches on her lap, they enjoyed these peaceful escapes from their public lives.

He said to the now-closed publication, “Barbra has never engaged in activities like that before. She hasn’t had a chance to explore that aspect of America.

An intriguing detail about the pair is that they abstained from intimacy until their wedding day, and it took him proposing three times for her to finally agree.

In a chat with CBS Morning anchor Gayle King, she playfully said, “I’ll give him a test run for at least three years.

In discussing her book, “My Name is Barbra,” a few years back, she shared that it sparked the creation of an incredibly famous rock ballad.

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, she disclosed that she and Brolin were having a cozy conversation while lying in bed together.

‘I don’t want to fall asleep because then I’ll miss you,’ the actor told his beloved. 

In that instant, the singer from Evergreen consented to his latest suggestion with a simple, ‘Yes, I will marry you.’
