Partnership between Team Vitality and Crédit Agricole sees the introduction of gaming-oriented bank cards for youngsters aged 10-17, merging the world of esports with financial education.
In a unique collaboration, the renowned French esports organization, Team Vitality, joins forces with Groupe Crédit Agricole to introduce a special edition banking card designed for young gamers between the ages of 10 and 17.
This marks the second collaboration between these organizations, both with a shared interest in youth gaming; they previously sponsored a school for gamers in 2022.
Team Vitality to launch 25,000 youth bank cards
In small text on the promotional image, you’ll find some extra information about the collaboration. A total of 25,000 black Team Vitality Mozaïc youth bank cards are planned to be produced within this partnership.
The new bank card’s promotional image showcases three Team Vitality gamers, each well-liked among the younger gaming audience, from various games including what was once known as Counter-Strike 2: Alexis “Zen” Bernier from Rocket League, Nikita “derke” Sirmitev from VALORANT, and Manon “Sha” Legaignoux from League of Legends.
According to Team Vitality’s official LinkedIn post, they are building connections between esports, well-known brands, and the regular experiences of their supporters through this project.
The statement expresses a common drive between us and Crédit Agricole, which can be summarized as follows:
1. Fostering innovation with the younger generations together with Crédit Agricole.
2. Strengthening Team Vitality’s status as a prestigious, international esports club known for creating meaningful and captivating experiences.
The individual using the card should be aged between 10 and 17 when they register, however, the card can remain active until their 25th birthday. During this time, the subscription and use of the card will require a legal guardian’s supervision for those under 18 years old.
Vitality and Crédit Agricole
It could appear unusual for a French esports team, like Team Vitality, to join forces with a significant bank, but they’ve been working together for the past three years with Crédit Agricole.
In the year 2022, Crédit Agricole took on the role of a sponsor for Vitality School, an educational and esports training initiative established by Team Vitality catering to children aged between 12-17 years old. The Vitality School operates during school breaks, offering both virtual and physical classes at Team Vitality’s headquarters in Paris.
The curriculum, designed to inspire and instruct young gaming enthusiasts about the world of esports, encompasses insights into the everyday life of an esports player, emphasizes the value of maintaining a balanced lifestyle, and delves into the historical background of Team Vitality as well.
2024 found me deepening my connection with Team Vitality even more, by pledging to be an official partner for their women’s League of Legends team, the Rising Bees, beyond just supporting the Vitality School and Rising Bees. Aside from these teams, this European bank also backs numerous rosters within Team Vitality, including those in League of Legends, Rocket League, and Fortnite.
Why does it matter?
Team Vitality isn’t the initial esports squad to possess a custom bank card, but they are pioneering by designing one specifically tailored for youthful video game enthusiasts.
As a passionate esports enthusiast, I’ve noticed that some other gaming organizations have ventured into the world of physical bank cards, but it seems like no new ones have been introduced since early 2021. The innovative 100 Thieves team was among the first to roll out their own Cash App Card, while Astralis partnered with Lunar Bank in Denmark for their Debit Card offering.
The distinctive advantage of 100 Thieves is that for every purchase of their Cash App Card worth $5, a dollar goes towards the Gamers Outreach charity. On the other hand, owning an Astralis Lunar Bank Debit Card grants access to special AMA sessions and gaming tutorials provided by Astralis players.
Traditionally, team-specific credit or debit cards are not commonly found in sports, but they do exist. In the year 2025, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were among just four European football teams that actively utilized such financial cards.
Through their ongoing commitment to making esports a viable career and hobby at Vitality School, Team Vitality’s partnership with Crédit Agricole brings the world of esports one step nearer to the realm of conventional sports, gradually bridging the gap between the two.
