Ballerina Farm’s Hannah Neeleman cooks with her kids on $30K Aga stove before church after viral tradwife story put marriage under microscope
As I delve deeper into Hannah Brown’s captivating narrative, I find myself profoundly moved by her resilience and adaptability. Her journey from a New York City-based ballerina to a mother of eight living on a farm in Utah is nothing short of extraordinary.
She sparked interest and, at the same time, anger among social media users following her recent profile becoming popular.
On a recent Instagram post on Monday, Hannah Neeleman from Ballerina Farms carried on enjoying her fresh popularity.
In her recent update from their farm in Utah, home to her and her eight kids with her affluent spouse (formerly a professional ballerina), she shared delightful glimpses of the family’s culinary adventures using their high-end Aga cast iron stove.
The exquisite green multichamber stove, priced at upwards of $30,000 for its luxury models (while simpler stoves fall within the $5,000 to $10,000 range), operates consistently and has separate areas heated to various temperatures.
Recently, Hannah and her family stirred up debate after an article by The Times of London in July raised doubts among readers about whether Hannah was compelled to abandon her personal pursuits due to her husband’s preferences.
As a devoted admirer, I found myself captivated by Hannah’s latest video. The quick succession of shots showcased a heartwarming moment where she cradled one of her eight precious children. Then, suddenly, there she was – one of the older daughters, all grown up and donning an enchanting pink tutu, preparing a hot beverage on the stove. Simply mesmerizing!
Although the expensive Aga stove is left running continuously, the ex-ballerina has disclosed that it never gets extremely hot to the touch on the exterior. Consequently, her daughter was not at significant risk of burns from touching the stove itself. However, there are constantly boiling and simmering plates on top of the stove, maintained at temperatures of 600 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit respectively, which can potentially be hazardous.
She gave her 9.9 million followers a demonstration later in the clip with an overhead shot of a yellow enameled cast iron post in which she was boiling eggs.
Hannah’s husband Daniel also made a brief appearance in the video as he held one of the children.
In my role as a lifestyle enthusiast, I often find myself surrounded by the delightful chaos of little hands at work. Recently, I found myself listening to a soothing background tune while helping my kids crack eggs and mix them for some scrumptious, golden-hued muffins. Once ready, we arranged these delectable treats in a woven basket on our rustic wooden dining table, creating a cozy scene of family bonding over homemade goodness.
Later, some of the older kids were spotted outside in a field as they attended to a cow.
On Sundays before going to church, Hannah titled her video. And appropriately enough, it ended with her and her kids donning their best Sunday attire.
After donning a charming, blue floral sleeveless gown, the Mormon homemaker then touched up her makeup while gazing at the reflection in the mirror.
In my role as a lifestyle guide, I’d share that last Sunday, I dressed my elder child in a pristine white gown featuring a delicate tulle skirt, perfect for our church visit. Meanwhile, my little one donned an adorable pale green floral dress, making her the picture of innocence and charm during our spiritual gathering.
Hannah playfully pursed her lips as she balanced her youngest child, preparing to conclude the recording of her video.
The internet first became transfixed by Hannah after a New York Times profile earlier this year detailed how she competed in beauty pageants just weeks after welcoming her eighth child.
However, a more complex portrayal of her rural life surfaced following The Times of London article, leading some readers to perceive her spouse as having a controlling nature.
It was reported that Daniel, son of David Neeleman (the founder of JetBlue), orchestrated the family’s relocation to Utah and the present rustic lifestyle of Hannah.
According to the profile, Daniel had a desire to reside in the vast wilderness of the west, and that’s where he lives. He wished to farm, so he does; he enjoys weekly date nights, which they manage with a babysitter on those evenings; he disliked nannies, hence there are none in their household. The only place designated for Hannah – a small barn she wanted to transform into a ballet studio – eventually became the children’s classroom instead.
Previously, Hannah was a dedicated ballerina residing in New York City. However, it appears she needed to set aside her love for dance to focus on nurturing her expanding family.
However, Hannah disputed the Times of London article, calling it an ‘attack’ on her ‘family.’
Although she found the depiction of her husband Daniel as overly controlling questionable, her main concern appeared to be the overall tone of the portrayal rather than any factual inaccuracies regarding her personal life.
Although she confessed that starting a family in rural Utah with her husband meant giving up her love for ballet, she mentioned that he too had to cut short his lacrosse career at Brigham Young University to live with her in New York temporarily. She perceived this as a comparable sacrifice on his part.
They later moved to São Paulo, Brazil, for multiple years, before moving out to Utah.
While some might view Hannah as a representative of the self-proclaimed ‘traditional wife’ movement, she personally avoids this label and minimizes any links to those who embrace it.
