Baldur’s Gate 3 Finally Gets Split-Screen Support on Xbox Series S
Finally, Larian Studios has incorporated dual-player split-screen cooperative play for Baldur’s Gate 3 on the Xbox Series S through Update 8. This feature was temporarily removed earlier to ensure compatibility with both the Xbox Series X and S versions of the game.
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that the long-awaited features are now live in Baldur’s Gate 3! The high-gear test for Patch 8 is underway, and it’s bringing some exciting additions to the table. Cross-play functionality, an innovative new photo mode, and a dozen enticing new character sub-classes are just a few of the treats we get to savor. What truly takes the cake, though, is the unexpected opportunity for local co-op gaming on Xbox Series S – a feature my gaming buddy and I have been eagerly anticipating!
Participants who have been invited are now able to participate in the stress test for Patch 8, a version that includes multiple enhancements and repairs. For comprehensive details about this update, you can read more in a blog post by Larian here. Additionally, there’s a video below that provides instructions on exploring Baldur’s Gate 3’s latest cross-play feature.
