BAFTA winner Stephen Graham reveals his next project

Stephen Graham, the creator of the hit show Adolescence, has announced his next project after winning a BAFTA award tonight. Adolescence took home the award for Best Limited Drama, triumphing over I Fought the Law, Trespasses, and What It Feels Like for a Girl.

After winning the award, Graham – who created and starred in the show – was asked about future projects. He hinted that he’s working on something new, but didn’t share any specifics, saying it hasn’t been announced yet.

It’s been great getting noticed, but we need chances to continue sharing our work. If you want us to keep creating, we will, he said.

We’re committed to continuing our work: sharing important stories, discovering new talent, and properly representing those who haven’t yet been given the recognition they deserve.

In addition to winning Best Limited Drama, the cast of Adolescence received acting awards. Owen Cooper and Christine Tremarco won Best Supporting Actor and Actress, while Graham was recognized as Best Leading Actor.

Graham shared his excitement about the win, saying he was incredibly proud and amazed by how successful the show had become – even more than they had hoped for.

He explained that he’s just one small part of something wonderful, and he feels honored to contribute.

Cooper, who played Jamie Miller, first appeared on screen after his drama school teachers recommended him for the part. He described the quick rise to fame that followed as a “whirlwind” and an “unreal” experience over the past two years.

He shared that this experience has completely changed his life, allowing him to meet wonderful people and travel the world with his family. He described it as simply amazing.

Tremarco expressed how honored she was to win, saying she was genuinely surprised when her name was called. She also shared how much it meant to her to be involved with Adolescence, a project she’ll always cherish.
