Claes Bang, known for his role in Bad Sisters, is joining the cast of the new Assassin’s Creed series. Netflix is adapting the popular video game franchise into a live-action show.
The series was originally revealed in 2020, but production didn’t officially begin until last year. While details about the story and characters are still limited, many actors have already been confirmed for the large cast.

Filming for the Assassin’s Creed series has started in Rome, as reported by Tudum. The show is set in 64 AD and will feature a brand new story taking place within the Roman Empire.

Roberto Patino and David Wiener are handling many roles on the show – they’re the creators, showrunners, and executive producers. Emmy Award-winning director Johan Renck is also on board to direct.
Patino and Wiener shared in a statement that they’ve been enjoying Assassin’s Creed since the game first came out in 2007. They added that working on the show every day leaves them feeling both inspired and grateful for the creative opportunities it offers.
Beyond the exciting action and impressive visuals, at its heart, this story is about fundamental human experiences. It explores people’s search for meaning in life, their battles with who they are, and their beliefs about fate. It also delves into themes of power, conflict, desire, ambition, and revenge.
Ultimately, this show celebrates the importance of people connecting with each other, regardless of background or when they lived. It also explores what humanity risks losing when those bonds are broken.
