Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6 feels like a filler episode (Review)

As a seasoned gamer of life’s rollercoaster, I must say I’ve seen better episodes than Bad Sisters Season 2 Episode 6. It was like a slow-moving ship on a calm sea, with more promise than actual action.

As we approach the final two episodes of “Bad Sisters” season 2, there’s a sense of anticipation as the storyline is wrapping up. The past few episodes have been eventful, but at times it seems like not much progress has been made. This week, in episode 6 titled “Who By Water,” broadcasted on Apple TV+, has left us pondering the events unfolding. Here’s our take on the episode. SPOILERS AHEAD.

Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6 feels like a filler episode (Review)

The story opens with the events following Angelica accidentally falling overboard and knocking herself unconscious. Despite the efforts of Becka, Bibi, and Ursula, they can’t locate her. We do catch a glimpse of Angelica drifting in the water. However, since there’s no funeral scene like Grace or a visible body, I remain skeptical about her passing, as shows often play such deceptive tricks on us viewers.

In this particular episode, the story predominantly revolves around the Garvey sisters attempting to tidy up a situation involving Angelica, with Ian lending a hand. Since Eva previously informed the police in episode 5 that she suspects Angelica was extorting Grace, this may provide a motive. This is likely why they choose to conceal the incident on the water and refrain from seeking help to locate the bothersome church lady.

Frankly speaking, it was more enjoyable without Angelica in this episode for me. Honestly, I’m not fond of her character. Houlihan persistently probes and ends up being as irritating as ever, but I managed. It’s worth mentioning that she has uncovered Loftus altering evidence, and he keeps trying to dodge the fact that there could be money hidden. Come on, man! You’re a detective. Try to conceal your theft of Grace’s money more convincingly.

In another part of the game, I stumbled upon a heartwarming moment where Becka first laid eyes on her baby on the ultrasound. To be honest, it wasn’t the twist I was anticipating, but the joy radiating from her face now tells me she’s embraced it wholeheartedly. I’m aware that Becka is pregnant, though I’m unsure if it’s mine or Matt Claflin’s. Eva shared the news with me, and as of yet, we haven’t had a conversation about it.

Regarding Miss Eva, I strongly disapprove of the developing relationship between her and Ian. Unfortunately, their bond seems to be heading down a problematic path. They confess their feelings for each other and end up sharing a night together – yuck, absolutely not! I completely sympathize with Bibi’s strong opinion on this matter. Although Ian appears relatively innocent (at least for now), there’s something strange about him that sets off alarm bells for Bibi. She intends to investigate further and uncover the truth. He remains tight-lipped, but it seems clear that she is determined to get to the bottom of things.

Bad Sisters season 2 episode 6 did move certain plot points along, but barely. It really did just feel like a filler episode. I’m hoping since next week is the penultimate episode of the season, there’s going to be a bit more actually happening. This was an alright episode, but it didn’t make me feel like I was glued to my seat to find out what happens next, necessarily. Episode grade level: C.
