I’m so excited! Bad Bunny is finally here in Australia, and honestly, everyone is already completely charmed by his cool, relaxed vibe. It’s amazing to see!
The 31-year-old rapper and singer, scheduled to perform at Engie Stadium this Saturday and Sunday, was seen at Sydney Airport on Tuesday wearing relaxed, everyday clothes.
He wore a black hoodie with neat grey sweatpants, but it was his flip-flops that really stood out. This choice of footwear instantly made fans like him even more, as it showed he was embracing Australia’s casual style.
The artist behind “I Like It” was seen with a checkered bag casually slung over his shoulder and large headphones on.
Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known as Bad Bunny, seemed genuinely happy and relaxed as he greeted fans with smiles and waves upon arriving in Sydney. He appeared to be enjoying the city’s atmosphere.
His relaxed and friendly personality made the anticipation for his two sold-out Sydney concerts even greater this weekend.
People noticed his clothes, but also a special flight the day before: a Qantas Airbus A380 flew directly from Sydney to São Paulo, Brazil, which created a buzz among those tracking flights.
Online discussions hinted the plane might have been flying without passengers, leading some to believe it was a trial run for a new flight path between Australia and Brazil.
It turns out the superjumbo wasn’t empty at all.
Okay, so the buzz is officially confirmed – Bad Bunny chartered a private jet for his upcoming Australian leg of the ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ world tour in 2026! As someone who follows travel trends and artist logistics, it’s not entirely surprising – top artists often prioritize comfort and efficiency on long hauls like that. But it’s still exciting to see these details come out – it really gives you a glimpse into the planning that goes into a massive world tour.
A Qantas A380 plane left Sydney shortly after 10 PM on Monday and arrived in São Paulo almost 15 hours later.
Qantas returned to Brazil after a ten-year absence, having last flown there with charter flights for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
On the way back, the plane made a stop in Auckland to get more fuel before flying on to Sydney. It was scheduled to land around 12:50 PM local time on Tuesday.
VH-OQA, a Qantas Airbus A380 named in honor of Australian aviation pioneer Nancy Bird-Walton, is the airline’s first and oldest superjumbo. It re-entered service in April 2024 after being stored during the pandemic.
Although the Airbus A380 is designed for carrying passengers, it will probably be used to transport Bad Bunny, his large team, and all of his concert gear.
We arranged to have extra equipment shipped in advance by cargo plane so it would be through customs and available when we arrived.
Even though Bad Bunny has access to one of the biggest passenger planes available, he usually chooses to travel on smaller, more comfortable private jets like the Bombardier Global 7500.
He’s worked with VistaJet before and even traveled in a private Airbus A320 customized with his logo and the light blue color of Adidas Forum sneakers during a 2022 tour.
Right now, all eyes are on Sydney as the popular artist gets ready to perform his biggest songs for a huge crowd.
Bad Bunny is performing two concerts in Sydney at the Showgrounds on February 28th and March 1st.
The concerts will mark the first time the world-famous rapper has performed in Australia.
