Bad Boys 4 confirms Netflix release date
As a die-hard fan of the Bad Boys franchise, I can hardly contain my excitement! The fourth instalment, “Bad Boys: Ride or Die”, is finally set to grace our screens on October 8th, exclusively on Netflix US. While I’m eagerly waiting for its UK premiere on Sky Cinema and NOW, I’ve already pre-ordered my DVD copy – you know, just in case the streaming gods decide to play a trick on us.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die has confirmed its Netflix release date.
On October 8th, the fourth installment of the action series is scheduled to premiere on the American version of the streaming service. In the UK, it will air on both Sky Cinema and NOW, but the exact release date has not been announced as of now.
For now, you can acquire or lease “Bad Boys 4” on Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store, and various other digital marketplaces in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, in the U.S., you can buy or rent the film from Prime Video and iTunes, along with other providers.
For those who like to have a tangible version, you can buy the movie “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” in various physical formats such as DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and even a special 4K Steelbook edition, which is available in the UK.
Under the guidance of directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who have previously worked on “Bad Boys for Life,” this movie brings back iconic Miami police officers Mike Lowrey, played by Will Smith, and Marcus Burnett, portrayed by Martin Lawrence. They reconnect over a case that carries personal significance to them.
In the last film, following Captain Howard’s (Joe Pantoliano) demise, Mike and Marcus find themselves needing to clear the name of their deceased superior officer, who has been falsely accused of a crime.
In the next movie, we see the return of Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, and Paola Núñez, reprising their roles as Kelly, Dorn, and Rita Secada within the AMMO team from the previous film.
Tasha Smith steps into the role of Theresa Burnett, Marcus’s spouse, replacing Theresa Randle. Additionally, Eric Dane from ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ is introduced as the latest antagonist, James McGrath.
After hitting the big screens earlier in the year, the latest installment, Bad Boys 4, has raked in more than $400 million globally, placing it among the top ten highest-earning films of the year to date.
Although the movie was a hit financially, it garnered varied opinions from critics. At present, it has a 65% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 248 reviews, which is significantly less than the third installment in the series.
According to their three-star evaluation, Digital Spy deemed the film as an entertaining, lively, and amusing addition to the series, skillfully designed to win over both die-hard fans and skeptics alike.
As a gaming enthusiast excitedly counting down the days, I can’t help but share that “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is set to drop on my screen on October 8, gracing the Netflix US platform. For my friends across the pond in the UK, you’ll be able to catch its streaming premiere on Sky Cinema and NOW!
