Bachelor’s Jaw-Dropping Tell-All: The REAL I’m A Celebrity Finale Chaos Unveiled!

Matty ‘J’ Johnson and Laura Byrne, a loving pair who are both bachelors, experienced a touching reunion on the final episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! that took place on Sunday night.

As the final episode approached, Laura took her two little girls, Marlie-Mae (age 5) and Lola Ellis (age 4), on a journey into the wilderness of South Africa.

On her Life Uncut podcast, recorded on Tuesday, Laura expressed that the arduous 24-hour journey involving three different planes to reach Kruger National Park in South Africa was extremely challenging and unfair for herself and her kids.

‘That in itself was really hard. It was like 24 hours by the time we got door-to-door,’ she said.

‘Midnight transfer with two children who were absolutely f***ing ropable.’

On Wednesday, she humorously posted on her Instagram Stories that the sight of a lion in its natural habitat was the one thing that made up for my child’s temper tantrum, resulting in undressing in a fit of anger at the airport in Singapore.

Viewers were deeply moved by heartwarming video clips showing Matty crying while hugging his daughters after several weeks apart, with many commenting on the Instagram account of Inside Edition that this emotional TV scene brought tears to their eyes as well.

But for Laura, the reality of making reality TV with kids was ‘really, really hard’.

She expressed her desire for their presence, explaining, “It was important to me that they were there since it’s a particularly meaningful moment for our family. However, this wasn’t just for my sake. I struggle with PTSD.” She chuckled as she said this.

‘Matt came out and he was so happy,’ she added.

After his significant encounter, I felt as though I had been whipped relentlessly for several days.

Matty clarified that since the last episode had been taped ahead of time, he assumed he’d get a three-day break to be with his loved ones.

Instead, Laura and her daughters found themselves crammed into a compact hotel room with insufficient beds, before embarking on a lengthy day of shooting that was beyond their young comprehension.

During the finale on Sunday, Matty J, Reggie Bird from Big Brother, and Sam Thaiday from the NRL each experienced a touching surprise as their family members appeared to watch them engage in a final challenge.

The emotional reunion was filmed first.

According to Matty, during our get-together, there was about a half-hour span where we spent some quality time together before we were reluctantly separated.

Then he was ‘taken away’ to film the trial.

‘The kids don’t get it, the kids don’t understand,’ Laura explained.

The conversation went something like this: “I’ve just met my father, and then I had to leave.” Then, during a test, we were doused with some unpleasant substance, causing Lola to cry out, “Why are you hurting my father?

‘I felt like I was the emotional buffer between the children and production.’

Matty then had to film the big reveal of the finale winner.

The kids thought they’d finally have a lasting reunion with their father following three brief reunions for filming purposes, but instead, they were separated once more.

In the children’s thoughts, they believed they would be going home with their father afterwards. However, they ended up keeping Matt on set until 6 pm, and we left earlier instead. This was especially tough on Lola, as Laura explained.

Elsewhere in the podcast episode, Laura explained that Lola, four, has always been a mum’s girl.

Lola has consistently favored me over her father, and she’s been rather unkind to him in the past. This has caused Matt distress on various occasions, according to her statement.

Over the past two weeks, she’s been going through a particularly tough stretch. Later on, I found myself trying to handle her intense feelings about the question, “Why isn’t Daddy returning home?

‘It felt like this unfair false start.

‘That situation proved challenging for me because I was dealing with sleep deprivation and the demands of caring for these little ones. It seemed as if their needs weren’t being met at that particular moment, and I felt like I wasn’t able to give them what they needed, which made me feel like their dad.’

On Monday, both Laura and Matty J posted on their Instagram Stories, recollecting additional joyful moments from the event.

The girls appeared to be enjoying themselves immensely while interacting closely with certain local wildlife in the jungle, such as lions, giraffes, and former British contestant Max Balegde backstage.

Upon their arrival back in Sydney this week, Matty shed more tears as the family faced yet another day of travel, adapting to its challenges.

Matty admitted at one point during filming he told show producers.

He expressed that it’s incredibly challenging for him, given the extended time he’s been away from his young family.”

“He admitted it was tough on him, being separated from his young family for such a long period.
