Bachelorette star’s ex reveals hourly rate he makes from Uber amid bitter child support battle

Stephen Stagliano, who was formerly married to reality TV star DeAnna Pappas, has stated in court documents related to their child support case that he is currently earning $22 per hour as an Uber driver.

According to court documents, 43-year-old Pappas claims 41-year-old Stagliano owes over $20,000 in child support for their two children: 11-year-old Addison and 9-year-old Austin.

According to legal documents reviewed by Us Weekly, Stagliano stated in a court filing on September 30th that he’s currently working between 10 and 15 hours a week and earning around $22 an hour.

Stagliano informed the court that he holds several degrees, including a master’s in education and a bachelor’s in history education.

Stagliano reported earning $436.43 in August, and usually makes around $650 each month. Of that monthly amount, about $462 comes from unemployment benefits.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for both Pappas and Stagliano through Instagram, seeking additional information about this story.

Stagliano explained to the court that he currently earns money only through unemployment benefits and driving for Uber. He also mentioned that the video production company where he used to work closed down earlier in the year.

Stagliano said that his ‘last paycheck was $3,750 from Story Games on March 1, 2025.’

Stagliano informed the court that he had saved $10,089 and spends approximately $7,400 each month.

Stagliano detailed their monthly expenses as follows: $4,300 for rent, $500 for groceries, $100 for eating out, $150 for clothes, $300 for transportation, $1,000 towards credit card debt, and $314 for a car payment on a Ford Escape.

Stagliano said that he has applied to more than 150 jobs ‘in various industries with no success.’

The father of two is still searching for a full-time job, and in the meantime, he’s earning extra money by driving for a rideshare company.

Stagliano explained to the court that he earns money by driving for Uber. He also stated he’s been consistently paying $1,500 each month in alimony to [Pappas].

In 2008, Jillian Harris was the star of season four of *The Bachelorette*, and she briefly became engaged to Jesse Csincsak.

Before becoming famous, the reality star, originally from Marietta, Georgia, competed on season 11 of The Bachelor in 2007, where Brad Womack was the bachelor.

Although it took a while, she ultimately found romance with Stagliano thanks to a connection made through his twin brother, Michael, who appeared on *The Bachelorette*.

Pappas and Stagliano married on October 22, 2011, and together they have two children: Addison, born in February 2014, and Austin, born in March 2016.

In January 2023, Pappas took to social media to reveal that the pair had split up.

‘It is with immense sadness, Stephen & I have decided to end our relationship as a couple,’ Pappas said. ‘We have been working hard for a long time – both as a married couple & as individuals – & have come to the conclusion to remain separate.

We continue to be loving parents to our wonderful children, Addison and Austin, and we are committed to raising them together with love and faith.
