As a fellow individual navigating my own path through life, I can empathize with Seiter and her journey. It takes immense courage to embrace one’s true self, especially when faced with adversity and criticism from all corners. Her story serves as a reminder that it is never too late to be who you truly are, regardless of the backlash or judgment that may come your way.

Previously known “Bachelorette” personality, Josh Seiter, advocates for the show to feature a transgender lead during its upcoming season.

37-year-old Seiter, who publicly identified as a transgender woman in May, shared with DailyMail.com that it was essential for the dating series to mirror the diverse fabric of contemporary America.

America is undergoing transformation. It’s no longer predominantly made up of middle-aged, cisgender white individuals; instead, a significant part of our nation identifies as part of the LGBTQIA community. However, despite this shift, there has been no representation for transgender women and men within the franchise, as Seiter pointed out.

The woman born in Chicago, who identifies herself using ‘she/her’ pronouns, expressed her happiness about the franchise’s progressive move in casting Jenn Tran, the first Asian Bachelorette, and Grant Ellis, the second Black Bachelor. However, she believes that the network could still make more significant strides towards inclusivity.

Seiter questioned how a show can be seen as emblematic of American culture and broader society if it continues to overlook the very individuals who make this country diverse and dynamic. He mentioned that while it’s commendable that the show has started casting an Asian woman and Black man as leads, he wonders why there are no transgender characters represented on the show.

As a lifestyle advocate, I deeply empathize with the numerous young transgender individuals who find themselves underrepresented on our screens. It’s truly unfortunate and saddening to witness this lack of representation, which could greatly contribute to their sense of belonging and self-acceptance.

While shows with cultural impact such as “The Bachelor” could significantly contribute to making young transgender individuals feel represented, they haven’t managed to accomplish this yet.

As an ardent advocate and an active contributor on OnlyFans, I can’t stress enough the urgent need for greater representation, particularly in light of the alarmingly high suicide rates within the transgender community.

“Josh stated that it’s not surprising that suicide rates are high among transgender individuals, considering the prevalence of heterosexual and cisgender-centric stories in entertainment.”

Let’s make it more commonplace for people to identify as transgender, and one method to achieve this is by sharing our personal narratives on TV.

In addition, Seiter expressed her enthusiasm about potentially becoming the first transgender individual to take on the role as ‘The Bachelorette.’

She didn’t explicitly state that she should be the first female transgender lead, but considering her highly influential social media presence with millions of views weekly on Instagram, it’s clear that her casting for such a role would likely boost ratings, which she proudly mentioned.

The franchise possesses significant influence, and this power ought to be accompanied by a sense of accountability to portray a diverse range of characters in its narratives, rather than solely featuring attractive individuals of predominantly white descent with suspect cosmetic enhancements, as is often the case on Botched.

Subsequently, Seiter emphasized her desire for the transgender community to serve as a source of inspiration for children nationwide.

‘At the end of the day, I want to live in an America where an eight-year-old child assigned male at birth who is struggling feels safe enough to tell his parents that he wants to change his gender. But that won’t happen until we stop hiding our trans population on television and start sharing the spotlight with them,’ she said.

Seiter announced her plans to transition to a woman back in May.

Initially, supporters stood by the 38-year-old’s choice, but later some started to doubt her motives and even labeled her actions as seeking attention through alleged trolling.

Last year, Seiter stirred curiosity during her gender exploration by resisting the conventional practice of removing bodily hair and asserting that she experienced a stronger sense of femininity without wearing a wig.

In conversation with DailyMail.com regarding the criticism, Seiter asserted that her transition was authentic and suggested that those who criticize are merely envious of her striking beauty.

In a statement, the former stripper expressed frustration, saying, “I’m facing an overwhelming amount of hostility from members of the LGBTQ community and self-proclaimed guardians – ironically, individuals who often advocate for love, understanding, and inclusion.”

It’s fascinating, isn’t it, how a group advocating for liberty and individuality can sometimes be remarkably critical. Intriguingly, I’ve encountered more understanding from my traditionally-minded acquaintances than I have from those labeled as liberals.

According to Seiter, she remained relatively unphased by the widespread criticism and conjecture concerning her personal identity as it pertains to her gender.

Seiter asserted, “I believe many are envious because I’m a stunning trans woman. It seems to me that the criticism I receive from some trans women online, particularly in my DMs and comments, stems more from envy masked as concern.”

‘It’s sad my transition has so many people up in arms.’

Initially, Seiter made known her plans for a transition on May 20th, sharing this news with her 960,000 followers via an openly written letter on Instagram.

She expressed that she’s grappled with her sense of self as male or female, along with accompanying feelings of regret and embarrassment, since a young age, as she penned down in the past.

For the past thirty years, I’ve been careful to hide certain aspects of myself. It seemed necessary, given my background in a traditionally religious and conservative household.

Instead, she disclosed that she had portrayed a tough, male-like persona to the public, yet desired to reveal her authentic identity.

Initially, Seiter was met with a wave of fan support, but eventually opinions changed as some critics claimed that Seiter may have been feigning her transition for popularity instead.

One follower expressed frustration, saying, “He seems to be doing this to get noticed!” Another suggested, “Perhaps this is an attempt to gauge our responses, like some sort of social test.”

A different individual remarked, ‘If you’re no longer identifying as male, it’s time to start shaving your facial hair. The combination of makeup and a beard just isn’t working well together.’

Since starting her transition, Seiter has not removed her body hair or shaved her face.

‘I’m gonna keep it,’ she said in a recent video.

I enjoy having facial and body hair, as it offers a sense of comfort, tranquility, and security. Additionally, I appreciate its appearance.

In the subsequent video named ‘Against Police Action on Women’s Body Hair’, Seiter defended herself against criticisms regarding her five o’clock shadow appearance.

As a woman who has navigated through the complexities of body hair and societal expectations, I can confidently say that it’s my choice to decide what I want to do with my own hair – whether it be on my head or other parts of my body. It seems that this simple fact often gets overlooked, but let me make it clear: cisgender women have body hair, and so do trans women. We each have our unique journeys, and the way we choose to manage our body hair is a personal decision that should not be subject to judgment or scrutiny.

In another Instagram post, Seiter expressed concerns about women’s clothing size inconsistencies, as her athletic, six-foot build struggled to fit into a large woman’s blouse.

Additionally, she mentioned that it wasn’t right for her, being a transgender woman, to be required to cover the costs of a date.

‘I just want to go on a date and have the man be a gentleman and treat me like a woman,’ she said.

Later on, Seiter asserted that she had experienced disrespectful remarks based on transphobia when she utilized a public women’s restroom.
