Bachelor Star Reveals Baby’s Gender

Laura Byrne has revealed the gender of her third child with Matty ‘J’ Johnson.

Previously known Bachelor contestant, aged 39, unveiled this exciting development by slicing into a gender-reveal cake during her KIIS FM The Pick Up radio broadcast on Wednesday. This announcement followed closely on the heels of her pregnancy disclosure made only hours earlier.

Laura excitedly exclaimed, ‘It’s a girl!’ as she unveiled a layer of pink-frosted sponge cake.

Brittany Hockley exclaimed with surprise, “Wow, you’re expecting your third little girl!” Then she expressed her well wishes, saying, “By the way, congratulations!

Can I have sons?” Matty responded, then continued, “Shall we try once more? Shall we aim for four children?

Laura expressed her gratitude by saying, “It’s wonderful having three little daughters – and three little siblings, I can hardly wait!” After that, Matty confessed his affection for being a father to girls, saying, “I adore being a dad to daughters.

On her shared podcast Life Uncut, Laura disclosed her expecting news, featuring alongside fellow celebrity Brittany Hockley as co-host.

‘It turns out, we’re having baby number three!’ she declared.

‘I’m pregnant guys!’

Laura revealed she is currently 18 weeks pregnant, two weeks short of the half-way mark.

It was nothing short of a Christmas miracle. We only had a narrow opportunity to make things work out. I’ve known about this for quite some time. In fact, it wasn’t any symptoms that led me to find out about the pregnancy; my friend made an observation that prompted me to take a pregnancy test.”

Laura shared that she conducted a pregnancy test during Matty’s time on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ in South Africa, yet kept the revelation from him until she was about two and a half months along with the pregnancy.

She explained that she couldn’t convey a message to Matt for a long period. During his entire time in the jungle, communication was impossible, and it became challenging when it was the finale because she didn’t feel right telling him then.

I decided not to share the news with him immediately after the show, because it might not be fresh in everyone’s memory. Just a reminder, this year’s show wasn’t broadcasted live; instead, we recorded the finale at another location.

Matt additionally shared on his Two Doting Dads podcast that he’ll be welcoming an October-born baby. He had been trying before venturing into the jungle, with the intention of having a third child in 2025, should the plan come to fruition.

It’s clear that Marlie and Lola are quite close in age, with only about an 18-month difference between them. Since Lola recently turned four, I can see why it’s important for us to consider having the third child soon, as waiting much longer could result in a significant age gap… We aim for our next child to remain friends with both Marlie and Lola when they grow up.

Additionally, Laura shared a video on Instagram featuring her youngest child, Lola who is four years old, announcing some thrilling updates to her followers.

Lola exclaims, “There’s a baby growing inside my mom’s belly, and I’ve been trying to bring it into the world! I am beyond thrilled about its arrival. I can hardly wait for the baby to be born, but it just isn’t happening yet.

‘We are SO SO SO EXCITED!!!! Johnson #3 under construction,’ Laura captioned the video.

Many followers flocked to the comments to congratulate the couple on their exciting news.

The couple share daughters Marlie-Mae, who they welcomed in 2019, and Lola, who was born in 2021.

In the year 2017, Laura made an appearance on The Bachelor Australia, where she encountered and eventually married Matty, who is now the proud father of their two kids.

In April 2019, they announced their engagement.
