Bachelor Star Clayton Echard Clashes with Ex Gabby Windey Over Dance Video Drama

This week, Clayton Echard, known from The Bachelor series, used social media to criticize his former partner Gabby Windey, accusing her of behaving in a bullying manner towards him.

Since 2023, the 31-year-old reality TV star, who was featured in season 26 of the show, has been sharing his journey into hip-hop dance on his Instagram account.

Following a critique of the videos, appearance, and fashion sense made by 34-year-old Gabby during a recent episode of the Las Culturistas podcast, he countered with a public response through an Instagram reel.

He expressed that it’s pointless and unacceptable to belittle others based on their physical appearance or shared passions, emphasizing the need to speak up against such actions, as written in his post.

On the April 3 broadcast, Windy shared her experiences from The Bachelor with hosts Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, who inquired about her thoughts during the competition on the ABC show in 2022.

She passionately expressed her deep commitment to falling for Echard by saying, “I’m head over heels for him, he’s the one I’d describe as having a foot resembling a toe and wearing skinny jeans – that’s my man.

She persisted in mocking her ex-partner, querying Yang and Rogers, “Have you watched his dance videos? Goodness gracious, they’re so terrible they’ll make you flee!

‘I’m gonna send you one and [you’ll] wish you didn’t have eyes,’ the Traitors star teased.

Gabby also said that she ‘manipulated myself’ into having romantic feelings for Clayton.

The beauty is now out as a lesbian and married to comedian Robby Hoffman, who she wed on January 1.

She pondered over her past thoughts, saying to herself, ‘It seemed to be all about me, didn’t it? I kept wondering, ‘Why am I unable to maintain a relationship?’ Now I realize that I must have been attracted to the wrong gender.’ This way, she expressed that she had previously identified as heterosexual but now understands her sexual orientation differently.

She admitted to effectively manipulating herself into believing she was in love with Echard. In discussing the dynamics of The Bachelor, she stated: “You’re in a setting where competition is paramount, and you end up self-deceiving, constantly talking about it in interviews. So, it becomes easy to convince yourself, ‘Gosh, I truly am in love with him.’

She was grateful for narrowly avoiding it, she remarked, since Clayton chose not to keep her as a finalist during the season.

On Instagram, Clayton publicly addressed Gabby, writing in his post, “Gabby, given your substantial social media presence and impact, I trust you’ll take some time to consider this incident and strive for improvement in the future.

In the recording, he stated, ‘Gabby, your actions are clearly bullying. To put it another way, you’re being cruel. You’re criticizing me for my physical appearance and a passion that I cherish, which has significantly impacted my life. This is uncalled for and it’s not amusing.’

He encouraged her to employ her influential stage for positive purposes, further stating, “Given the vastness of your reach, you’re unfortunately setting a very poor example, which is truly disappointing.

Let’s encourage others not to shy away from novel experiences due to cyberbullying, as it can be detrimental, just like what we see happening. Strive for improvement, Gabby.

It was observed that dance has instilled an immense amount of self-admiration and self-assurance within me, for which I am deeply thankful. It offers a daily opportunity to focus on personal growth and test my limits.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’ll openly share that I’m not a master at what I do, but I’m fully conscious of that fact. Each time I step into the studio, it’s a personal battle – a struggle between me and myself. It’s more than just a craft; it’s movement therapy for me. Through this process, I’ve been able to channel and expel a great deal of my anger and frustration.

Clayton shared with his 284,000 fans that it has been a full three years since he last communicated with his former romantic interest.

He garnered a lot of backing in the comments, with contributions even from the Golden Bachelorette, Joan Vassos.

She expressed, “It’s astonishing when people think it’s acceptable to bully, particularly adults who should be aware better. I believe Gabby assumed her actions were amusing and humorous, but they become harmful when they hurt someone else’s feelings.

It’s disappointing when someone idolized by young people, who’ve earned their admiration through television appearances, behaves poorly. After all, they’re learning from us. We should strive to be better role models. Kudos to Clayton for speaking up and keep on dancing, my friend!

Windey has yet to respond to Echard’s plea for kindness and call for an end to bullying.
