Rapper Jabari ‘Baby Uiie’ Henley has died after a fatal shooting in South Los Angeles.
He was the son of notorious L.A. figure and alleged Rollin’ 60s leader Eugene ‘Big U’ Henley.
Family sources confirmed to TMZ that the 34-year-old artist was gunned down late Friday night.
I heard the sirens last night, and my heart just dropped. Apparently, it was near 69th and Figueroa. The news said a man was shot – multiple times! It’s just… awful. I keep replaying it in my head, imagining what happened. I’m so worried and just hoping he’ll be okay. It’s terrifying that something like this could happen right here.
Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
According to witnesses, Jabari had approached a vehicle moments before shots were fired.

The shooter fled the area, and investigators are still searching for suspects.
Authorities briefly questioned several men wearing hats resembling those worn by Texas Rangers, but no one has been arrested so far.
Tributes quickly began pouring in across social media as news of Baby Uiie’s death spread.
According to a post on X (formerly Twitter), the son of Rollin 60s leader Big U, known as Baby Uiie, has been shot and killed outside a Los Angeles smoke shop. Many are expressing their condolences with ‘RIP’ messages.
Henley gained prominence for his work on the song “Hood” with HoodRich Pablo Juan and Kenny Beats.
Okay, so you HAVE to know this – my absolute idol? His dad was legendary! Eugene Henley, everyone called him ‘Big U,’ was a total powerhouse in the LA rap scene. He built this whole empire, Big U Enterprise, and was just…respected, you know? And his mom, Stacey Henley, was amazing too. It’s just…knowing his background makes everything he does even cooler, honestly. It’s like greatness was just in him from the start!
He is survived by his siblings Michael, Cherysh, and Daiyan Henley, who plays linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers.
Luce Cannon, a fellow inmate at the Metropolitan Detention Center with Big U, told TMZ that both men were deeply upset by the news.

It’s incredibly sad,” Luce shared, and while being in prison makes grieving even more difficult, she believes everything happens for a reason and trusts in a higher power.
He also suggested Jabari may have known his killer.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the shooting was gang-related.
Earlier this year, Big U was formally accused by a federal grand jury of serious crimes, including organized crime, theft, fraud, and stealing money from charities.
The U.S. Department of Justice claims a leader of the Rollin’ 60s gang operated his group similarly to a mafia, using fear and threats to grow its power throughout Los Angeles starting in the 1980s.
