How does Azrael end?

Initially, I’d like to tackle two questions from earlier. Indeed, Azrael manages to endure, and she exacts her vengeance upon the cult that held her captive. Let’s delve into how that happens next.

Following the tragic demise of her partner at the hands of forest-dwelling cannibal demons, Azrael is more resolved than ever to exact retribution upon the sinister cult that has been pursuing her. Equipped with a firearm, she returns to the cult’s encampment and confronts their leader, who happens to be a woman carrying a child. A brief skirmish ensues, culminating in Azrael being felled by a pan attack. Remarkably, during her descent, she manages to inflict an injury upon the cult leader by raking her swollen belly with her nails.

After some cult followers carry Azrael, now covered in blood, to a forest, they encase her within a buried wooden crate. They cover the container with soil once it’s sealed. Now imprisoned underground, Azrael manages to break open the lower part of the box and discovers that she’s in an underground cavern. As she navigates through the cave, she encounters a demon that feeds on flesh and promptly reverses her direction. However, the demon persists in following her back into the crate.

As the demon prepares to bite her neck, it detects a scent on her body and starts intensely sniffing until it traces the source. You might wonder what that odor is? It’s the cult leader’s blood, which she had scratched, that it smells. Once it detects the blood, the demon retreats. That’s strange!

After emerging from underground, Azrael makes her way back to the encampment of the cult, and this is where she exacts her vengeance. She ignites one of their tents, which swiftly spreads to the others. Following this, she takes up a sniping position, picking off the cult members one by one. Despite their attempts to retaliate, Azrael consistently gains the advantage. Once the camp is emptied, Azrael moves towards the main house where the cult leader resides.

In another round of violence, Azrael bites deeply into the high priestess’ neck, causing her to lose a lot of blood. As she struggles, her water breaks and she collapses onto a bed in the room. Just then, a cult member bursts into the house with a shotgun, firing at Azrael. They exchange blows, resulting in Azrael fatally wounding the cult member by slashing her neck with a large knife typically used for butchering.

Initially, a newborn’s cries fill the air. The cult leader has given birth but seems apprehensive towards the child. She retreats from the infant and ultimately takes her own life with a knife. Azrael steps in afterwards, gently collecting the baby.

A horde of demons invades a house while she cradles a newborn, yet they refrain from assault. Instead, they emit piercing shrieks. The camera then focuses on the infant, who appears to be a demon rather than human. This tiny entity resembles the devil, but it’s clearly an infant demon. It’s uncertain if this baby is the devil himself, but it undeniably possesses some demonic essence. Consequently, Azrael instantly recognizes this and becomes aware of it herself. As the movie transitions to credits, we observe Azrael glance away from the demon child, fix her gaze ahead, and then smirk subtly.

Did you enjoy watching Azrael? What did you think about the ending?
