Awkward Fashion Week Moment: Samantha Armytage and Maria Thattil Rock Near-Identical Dresses!

It’s possible that Samantha Armytage may have experienced a bit of an uncomfortable situation had she crossed paths with Maria Thattil during the Australian Fashion Week in Sydney on Monday.

On the first day of the event, both the host and the model turned up dressed identically in striking red, intricate lace ensembles.

While Sam’s version was short and flirty, Maria’s version was longer and more revealing. 

The dresses each had high necklines, with Maria’s more of a turtleneck and Sam’s a pussy bow. 

Both dresses had long sleeves and were adorned with lace trim, and both ladies chose to wear just undershirts beneath them.

Both of the dresses boasted long sleeves and intricate lace detailing, while their wearers opted for undergarments as the only layer underneath.

The 48-year-old Sam wore the revealing maroon, sheer lace gown over a bright red slip. 

The dress including a long bow detail at the neck as well as moderate princess sleeves. 

She accessorized her outfit with a matching pair of leather pumps and a chic, white designer handbag.

Sam opted for a warm toned makeup look with lots of highlighter and a gleaming rose lipstick.

Previously on the morning show, the host accessorized with a pair of golden earrings and styled her long, blond hair in a neat, flowing style.

Sam finished her look with a chunky, wide ring and otherwise kept her accessories light.  

The former beauty queen meanwhile went for a bodysuit underneath the see-through maxi dress. 

She added a chain belt with a mini purse attached and had on a pair of black, pointed heels. 

For makeup, Maria chose a warm palette with a nude lip gloss while sweeping her hair off her face. 

As a devoted admirer of elegance, I purposely opted for a minimalist approach with my accessories, allowing my outfit to make the primary statement. However, I couldn’t resist the allure of a pair of eye-catching earrings to add just the right amount of flair.

Maria and Sam have another thing in common – they are both newly single. 

Sam shocked fans when she and husband Richard split just weeks before their fourth anniversary.

As an ardent admirer, I couldn’t help but get wind of the breaking news before it even hit the Sydney papers. Sources close to the situation had tipped off Daily Mail Australia, ensuring that I was among the first to learn about their separation.

Armytage shared that she and Richard have parted ways. While all splits can be difficult, this one is a bit easier due to its amicable nature. We both hope the very best for each other, she mentioned in her statement to the press.

‘I appreciate you respecting our privacy. I won’t be making any further comment.’

It’s been learned that Armytage has been privately supported by her TV presenter friends since news of her situation became public.

Samantha is no longer being followed by Richard’s daughters, Sascha and Grace, on Instagram, but both parties continue to follow one another.

Beginning in April 2019, she began a relationship with Richard. They made their engagement public in June 2020, and approximately half a year afterward, they got married on his countryside estate in New South Wales.

In February, the ex-Miss Universe Australia, aged 32, decided to end her 18-month relationship with her AFLW player partner, Moana Hope, quietly, without much public notice at that time. (age: 37)

In a recent Instagram post, Maria shared that her special bond with Moana had come to an end.

As a fervent admirer, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing a captivating bond with Moana. However, in her own words, she has chosen to express that we’ve mutually agreed to part ways and embark on separate paths.

Continuing, Maria said that the breakup, while difficult, was amicable.

We act toward one another with nothing less than deep respect and concern, offering continuous support. Once more, we express our gratitude for your kindness and backing.

Maria concluded her sincere message by saying: ‘Although I must attend to my work duties, understand that what I’m experiencing isn’t simple and ask for respect of my privacy during this time.’
