Awich and FERG Hop on RZA-Produced Cut “Butcher Shop”

Awich joined forces with FERG for her RZA-produced single, “Butcher Shop.”

The cut represents a fusion of American and Japanese hip-hop styles, as Awich terms it “the point where my three distinct worlds converge.” She clarified that this refers to Okinawa, her birthplace and upbringing, Tokyo, her current residence, and New York, FERG’s hometown.

In collaboration with hip-hop icons such as RZA and street-savvy artist FERG, we cut through the clutter using incisive rhymes and beats to embody the essence of this boundary-less epoch, the queen of Japanese rap stated. This track serves as a junction – a blend of Japan and New York City, culture and style, opulence and fun, vice and its consequences. Each participant contributes their unique perspective, and we dissect the reality. Welcome to our Butcher Shop.

Stream Awich and FERG‘s “Butcher Shop” on Spotify and Apple Music.
