F5 Games, the creators of popular titles like Runes of Legend and Phoenix Contract, have released their new fantasy idle RPG, Awakenloop. You can now play it on Android, iOS, and through a web browser on your computer.

In Awakenloop, you start the game waking up in some old ruins and are quickly found by friendly animal-eared girls who believe you’re the hero they’ve been waiting for. Together, you’ll journey through lost lands, gain powerful abilities, discover secrets, and fight against an encroaching evil.

In this game, you collect anime-style characters with animal traits – think fox, butterfly, cat, and more – to build a strong team. I’m aiming to evolve them to unlock even more powerful versions, which also give you exclusive outfits and abilities.

Players can dive into idle battles and go on dates with their favorite waifus

Battles are fast-paced and rely on chaining abilities together, making the game fun for both single-player and player-versus-player modes. However, I found the downtime between battles a little boring. I especially appreciated the ability to completely reset your heroes and get back all your progress – it’s a fantastic way to rebuild and experiment with different team setups.

The game has a lot of interesting characters, but what really stands out is the new dating system. You can develop relationships with the characters, discover their individual stories, and even go on dates. However, I’m reserving judgment until I’ve played it myself, as early reviews haven’t been very positive.

Awakenloop is now available to play on Android, iOS, and PC. You can download it from the Google Play Store or App Store, depending on your device.
