Shuangwei Interactive Entertainment has released AWAKEN: AstralBlade, a dark action-adventure RPG, for iOS devices. The game was originally created by Dark Pigeon Games and first launched in 2024 as part of Sony’s China Hero Project on several platforms.

Explore ancient ruins, master dynamic combat, and pet cats

AWAKEN: AstralBlade is a thrilling metroidvania game where you explore ancient, mysterious ruins and forge your own path. You’ll play as Tania, uncovering her past and destiny as you fight enemies and challenging bosses using a wide range of combat moves. And for a little break from the action, you can even pet a cat!

The combat system is really enjoyable. You can block attacks, quickly get back on your feet with a special ability, or even slow down enemies while becoming temporarily invincible. It looks incredibly fun, and I’m excited to use these features constantly during fights.

Players can collect and use Aether, adjust difficulty, and set buffs

Aside from combat, you can gather Aether, a special resource that lets you improve Tania’s powers and learn new skills for various challenges. The game’s map is well-designed, making it easy and efficient to explore. If you’re struggling, you can also adjust the difficulty or use helpful buffs to make things easier.

The game seems really enjoyable, offering a compelling story with different possible outcomes, exciting battles, and a wide range of moves and abilities. Plus, it features cute cats! A nice touch is that the character Tania is always optimistic, even when things get tough.

The new game, AWAKEN: AstralBlade, is now available to download on iOS through the App Store. We don’t have any news yet about when it might come to Android, so keep an eye out for future announcements! If you’re looking for other games that have made the jump to iOS, you might enjoy Balatro, XCOM 2, Goat Simulator 3, and many more.
