Avowed Release Date Has Officially Been Moved to February 2025
As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and resignation upon hearing the news about Avowed’s delay until February 2025. On one hand, I understand the need for developers to ensure their masterpieces are polished to perfection before release. Yet, on the other, it feels like I’ve been waiting an eternity for this game, and now it seems even further away.
According to whispers suggesting a shift in release date for the first-person fantasy RPG “Avowed” from its initial planned launch in late 2024 to 2025, an official announcement has confirmed that the game will instead debut in February of the coming year.
As a long-time fan of RPG games and someone who has been eagerly awaiting the release of Avowed since its announcement, I am thrilled to finally have an official release date for this highly anticipated title. While it was initially disappointing to learn that the game would not be coming out in November as was accidentally leaked by Obsidian Entertainment back in June, I understand the reasoning behind the decision. With so many great games being released these days, it’s easy for a player’s backlog to pile up quickly, and giving players more time to catch up on other games before Avowed comes out is a smart move. As someone who often finds myself overwhelmed by the number of games I want to play but don’t have enough time for, I am grateful that Obsidian has decided to give us fans a little breathing room. I can’t wait to explore the world of Tamriel and create my own unique character in Avowed when it releases on February 18, 2025.
Declared is one of fifty games that Xbox will be exhibiting at Gamescom, happening between the 21st and 23rd of August. A live stream showcasing Avowed, Ara: History Untold, and other titles is scheduled for the 23rd of August at 6am PDT / 9am EDT / 2pm BST / 3pm CEST.
The game, named “Avowed,” is set to launch for both Xbox Series X|S and PC on the 18th of February, 2025. On that very same day, it will be accessible immediately through Xbox Game Pass.
With an abundance of upcoming games, we’re shifting the release date of Avowed to February 18, 2025. This extra time will allow players some space in their gaming libraries.
