Avid Games’ anticipated CCG Eerie Worlds takes you to the enchanting world of monsters
As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for card games and a deep-rooted fascination with folklore, Eerie Worlds has truly captured my imagination! The sequel to Cards, Universe and Everything promises the tactical depth I crave, coupled with the educational aspect that tickles my inner history buff.
Eerie Worlds serves as the follow-up to the strategy-rich and fact-filled tactical CCG from Avid Games, titled Cards, Universe and Everything. Just like its predecessor, Eerie Worlds is a card-based combat game where you need to learn certain strategies while constructing an unbeatable deck of cards to face off against other players. In this new edition, Avid Games has replaced monsters with universe elements in the design.
Fissures have emerged, providing a path for diverse creatures, ranging from small to colossal, and hailing from various cultures, to invade our dimension, causing chaos. Some of these beings, such as Bigfoot and the Gremlins, might be recognizable to you, whereas others, such as the Monster of Glamis, the Dalby Spook, and Ludwig the Vampire, may be new entities for you to encounter.
Strategize and build your deck from a roster of powerful Monsters
In essence, these monsters draw inspiration from global folklore across various nations. Much like the intricate game “Cards, Universe and Everything,” Eerie Worlds serves dual purposes: it’s a strategically deep card-battling game and an enlightening resource. Each card showcases a chilling illustration of a monster on one side and provides a detailed account, derived from extensive research, about the creature’s origins and the gruesome events that have shaped its terrifying legend.
In Eerie Worlds, there are a total of 160 unique monster cards. These monsters are categorized into one of four alliances: Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, or Synnig. Furthermore, they’re associated with different horde groups such as the Greeks, Slavics, Hauntings, and Japanese Yukai.
To triumph in battles, you should construct strategic decks comprising ten powerful monsters, taking into account their special abilities, current power levels, and other relevant factors. Remember that these monsters are earned and added to your Grimoire before deck construction. Crafting a potent deck requires both tactical acumen and a strong understanding of the game dynamics.
Form powerful Alliances
Monsters in this game can combine identical cards to advance, starting with 248 unique cards available at launch. These numbers might increase over the next one to two months, as each card boasts unique skills and chilling histories.
According to the book “Cards, the Universe and Everything,” we anticipate that the game “Eerie Worlds” will be a delightful experience. You can grab it at no cost from the Google Play Store, the App Store, or simply by clicking this link.
