Jackman initially felt like his time as Wolverine was over after making Logan, but he started to question that feeling when he saw the first Deadpool movie. Working on Deadpool & Wolverine gave him a chance to portray the character in new and surprising ways, and he discovered aspects of Wolverine he hadn’t explored before.
It’s not surprising that the actor has hinted Deadpool & Wolverine isn’t the last we’ll see of his character. He’s said the film let him discover new aspects of the role, suggesting he’d be open to playing it again in the future.
With reports that many actors from the Fox X-Men films are returning for Avengers: Doomsday, and considering Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to be a massive, *Endgamescale event for the MCU’s Multiverse Saga, it would actually be surprising if Hugh Jackman didn’t reprise his role as Wolverine in the 2027 film.

Given that Deadpool & Wolverine ends with both heroes surviving and thriving, it would also make perfect sense for Jackman to return.
