Avengers: Endgame Gets Theatrical Rerelease, MCU Fans Hope for Doomsday Tease

Avengers: Endgame is returning to theaters ahead of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

Released in the United States in 2019, Avengers: Endgame is the sequel to the 2018 hit, Avengers: Infinity War. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (known as the Russo Brothers), this Marvel Cinematic Universe film has become the second-highest-grossing movie ever, earning around $2.799 billion globally – only behind James Cameron’s Avatar.

When does Avengers: Endgame return to theaters?

Per Deadline, Avengers: Endgame will be back in theaters on September 25, 2025.

Marvel hasn’t announced anything about adding a preview for a potential ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ to the re-release of ‘Endgame,’ but many fans are hoping for one.

After Thanos destroys half of all life, the remaining Avengers must come together for a last, desperate battle in the epic conclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.

The film stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Benedict Wong as Wong, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Bradley Cooper (voicing Rocket Raccoon), Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, and Josh Brolin as Thanos.

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m getting excited thinking about what’s coming! So, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is now officially set to hit theaters around three months after they re-release ‘Avengers: Endgame’ – currently, that puts it on December 18th, 2026. And get this – they’re already planning a follow-up, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ which is scheduled for December 17th, 2027. It’s going to be a long wait, but I’m already counting down the days!
