Marvel Studios is finishing up work on Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The film is expected to hit US theaters later this year, and a follow-up movie, Avengers: Secret Wars, is planned for 2027.

Marvel has now released four short previews for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film. The first preview confirmed Chris Evans will reprise his role as Captain America, while the second highlighted Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth. The third preview showcased several X-Men characters. The final preview focused on Shuri/Black Panther, portrayed by Letitia Wright, and Ben Grimm/The Thing, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach, along with other characters.

What did Lewis Pullman say about Avengers: Doomsday?

With so many characters expected in Avengers: Doomsday, some Marvel fans worry the movie might feel like a series of brief cameos, leaving supporting characters with limited roles.

Lewis Pullman, who first played Bob Reynolds/Sentry in the upcoming Thunderbolts film, is letting fans know they don’t need to worry about him not returning for future projects.

In a recent interview with Esquire, he explained that the upcoming project is focused on exploring the core qualities of its characters – the fundamental building blocks of storytelling. He praised the Russo brothers for giving every character a significant role and making the most of their talented cast. He hinted at some surprising and exciting collaborations between actors, fulfilling many fans’ hopes and ‘what if’ scenarios. He described the process as realizing long-held fantasies about which characters would interact with each other.

The next major Avengers movie, Doomsday, is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026, and Secret Wars will follow a little over a year later on December 17, 2027.
