Avengers: Doomsday Star Hints At 8th X-Men Joining Cast

Alan Cumming, known for his role in *Avengers: Doomsday*, may have hinted at which X-Men character will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s team-up movie planned for 2026. The upcoming film, directed by the Russo Brothers, will be a groundbreaking crossover, bringing together the classic X-Men from Fox’s films with the MCU’s Avengers to fight for the fate of reality.

Alan Cumming is one of several actors confirmed to be in the new X-Men film, alongside Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Kelsey Grammer. While only seven X-Men have been officially announced so far, fans are curious about any other characters who might be appearing. Cumming recently discussed the possibility of Halle Berry returning as Storm in the movie.

When Entertainment Tonight asked about the possibility of Berry returning, Cumming hinted that it might happen, saying, “Well… maybe she does.”

Although Marvel hasn’t confirmed the actress who played Storm will be in the new movie, a recent comment from a colleague suggests she might be joining other actors from the X-Men franchise in the film.

In Avengers: Doomsday, fans will see the iconic X-Men team join forces with the Avengers to fight Doctor Doom (played by Robert Downey Jr.) and save the Multiverse.

The upcoming Marvel movie, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (who previously directed other Marvel films), features a large cast including actors from the X-Men universe, Chris Hemsworth, Simu Liu, and Anthony Mackie. It’s scheduled to be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
