Marvel is currently finishing up work on Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The film is expected to hit US theaters in under a year, and another sequel, Avengers: Secret War, is planned for 2027.

Who is getting a new costume in Avengers: Doomsday?

I just saw a TikTok from the Empire State Building’s official account, and Simu Liu—you know, Shang-Chi himself—let slip that we’re getting a brand new costume for his character in the next movie. It’s exciting news, and honestly, I can’t wait to see what they’ve come up with!

Liu explained that the costume he wore was completely new. It didn’t fit the same way as the previous one, which surprised him when he arrived on set. He initially felt confident, but quickly realized this suit was different. He acknowledged that things change, and expressed how meaningful it was to see himself in the costume, describing it as an amazing experience and anticipating an exciting release in theaters.

The upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday, boasts a star-studded cast including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, and Anthony Mackie taking on the role of Captain America.
