Avengers: Doomsday Set Leak Reveals Medieval Twist!

When “Avengers: Infinity War” premiered in cinemas back in 2018, fans were left guessing due to Marvel’s exceptional secrecy surrounding their major films. Fast forward to now, people are eager to preserve a piece of film history by scouting studio grounds, using drones over known shooting spots, and digging up information from places that used to be off-limits before the advent of social media. The recent on-set sleuthing regarding the set of an upcoming movie appears to have validated a disputed piece of leaked artwork that was circulating earlier this year.

Doomsday” marks the beginning of the end for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Multiverse Saga. This film is expected to be followed by “Secret Wars,” a Marvel movie that could be the final chapter in the MCU as we currently understand it. Interestingly, Robert Downey Jr., known for his portrayal of Tony Stark (Iron Man), will reappear in this film, but this time he might play Doctor Doom instead, or perhaps both characters will be combined in some way. “Doomsday” is also expected to lay the groundwork for “Secret Wars,” much like how “Infinity War” set up “Endgame.

As a film enthusiast, I can’t help but feel excited about the upcoming release, with all the buzz surrounding it. It’s no wonder then that some sneak peeks have found their way online. A while back, artwork by Mushk Rivzi popped up on several X accounts for a brief moment after being leaked, only to be removed later and dismissed by directors Joe and Anthony Russo of Doomsday. Yet, a fresh video clip of one of the film’s sets, seemingly depicting a medieval village, might hint that Mushk’s art held some truth to it.

Are the Avengers Heading Back to the Past?

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), anything goes regarding the multiverse. Marvel Comics has previously explored different time periods, such as in 1602, a storyline that imagined what would happen if Marvel’s superheroes coexisted with Elizabethan characters. This narrative showcased variations of The Fantastic Four, X-Men, Hulk, Spider-Man, and Doctor Doom. Remarkably, this tale has already influenced an episode of “Marvel’s What If…?” and may hint that the film “Doomsday” will incorporate Earth-311 into its plotline, despite initial claims to the contrary.

Despite numerous leaks of props for the movie “Doomsday”, they don’t reveal much about the plot or its outcome. Directors The Russos have hinted that the film will offer another pulse-pounding installment in the MCU, much like Infinity War, ending on a suspenseful cliffhanger. Although some key characters are absent from the confirmed cast of “Doomsday”, it’s worth noting that not all cast members have been disclosed yet. Movies such as “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will be released between the two Avengers films, offering a bridge or explanation for the absence of certain characters in “Doomsday”, similar to how “Captain Marvel” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp” filled gaps before “Endgame”.
