Avengers: Doomsday Reveals Its First 6 Funko Pops (Thor, Magneto & More)

The first six Funko Pop! figures for the upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday have been revealed. It’s common for big movies to have lots of merchandise, and Funko Pop! vinyl figures are a popular collectible. Funko will soon release a line based on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and then focus on Avengers: Doomsday before its release on December 18th.

1001 Hobbies has announced the first six Funko POP! Vinyl figures from Avengers: Doomsday will be available in November. They also hinted at several other surprise Funko releases.

Please note: The Funko images shown are of previously released Pop! Vinyl figures. Marvel Studios hasn’t yet unveiled the designs for its Avengers: Doomsday collection.

Doctor Doom

Robert Downey Jr., best known as Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is now playing Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. His character, Victor von Doom, is a brilliant and powerful ruler of Latveria (a country on Earth-828) who uses both magic and technology. He firmly believes he’s the only one who can prevent the Multiverse from collapsing due to dangerous events called Incursions.

As expected, Marvel Studios is prominently featuring Robert Downey Jr. and Doctor Doom in the promotion and merchandise for Avengers: Doomsday. Despite being left out of the four trailers released over the past couple of months, fans have already spotted four hints about the film’s main villain.

Yelena Belova

Florence Pugh returns as Yelena Belova in Avengers: Doomsday, following her appearance in Thunderbolts. This time, Yelena will lead a new team of Avengers, continuing to remember and honor her late sister, Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson), as they protect Earth.

We haven’t seen most of Doomsday’s hero outfits yet – those will be shown in the first official trailer. However, Marvel Studios already gave us a peek at Yelena Belova’s new costume when they introduced the New Avengers in the post-credits scene for Thunderbolts.

Thor

Chris Hemsworth is returning as Thor in the upcoming movie, Doomsday. This will be Thor’s first live-action role since Thor: Love & Thunder, which received mixed reviews. His adopted daughter, Love, will also appear in the film, continuing her story.

Marvel Studios has decided to scrap the new costume design for Thor that they previously revealed. They’re going back to a look similar to the one he wore in Avengers: Infinity War, and Funko Pop! figures of this version will be available in November.

Mr. Fantastic

Pedro Pascal, playing Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), is expected to travel from his universe (Earth-828) to ours (Earth-616) in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. It looks like the Fantastic Four will team up with established Avengers to stop the dangerous Incursions and protect the entire Multiverse.

It looks like Mr. Fantastic is making sure his family is well-prepared for their first trip into the Multiverse. The Fantastic Four are getting new costumes, including jackets for most of the team, following the events of First Steps.

Cyclops

When Earth’s heroes unite to protect their world from a new threat and Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., they’ll travel to another universe. There, they’ll encounter alternate versions of the X-Men, like Cyclops as portrayed by James Marsden, and will have to battle them.

After 26 years of requests from fans, the upcoming Doomsday will finally show Marsden’s Cyclops wearing the classic blue and yellow costume from the comics, and Funko will be releasing figures to commemorate the moment.

Magneto

Magneto is joining the X-Men team in Avengers: Doomsday, alongside Cyclops, Professor X, Mystique, and Beast. Ian McKellen, who plays Magneto, will become the oldest actor to have a major role in a Marvel Cinematic Universe film.

With Sir Ian McKellen returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after a 12-year break, it’s not surprising that his character is getting a Funko Pop figure. Sources say he’ll be a key player – even the most valuable player – in the upcoming Avengers 5 movie.

More Confirmed Funko Releases from Avengers: Doomsday

In addition to the six Pop! Vinyl figures, 1001 Hobbies announced a larger wave of Avengers: Doomsday products from Funko arriving in November. This includes a new line of Funko Mystery Minis, which are small collectible figures between 2.5 and 3 inches tall. These minis are packaged in sealed boxes, so you won’t know which character you’re getting until you open it!

Funko will also release miniature figures from their Bitty Pop! line, keeping the classic Funko Pop! Vinyl look but standing less than an inch tall. These small figures will be accompanied by miniature versions of iconic buildings and vehicles from the movie Avengers: Doomsday, sold as two Town and two Ride sets.

Iconic locations such as the Baxter Building, Avengers Tower, Steve Rogers’ home, and Doctor Doom’s castle would be perfect for the Towns collection. Currently, the Fantastic Four’s ship – the one that travels between dimensions in the movie – stands out as the only clear option for the Rides line.
