Avengers Doomsday: Pedro Pascal Reveals The Movie’s “Biggest Leak” So Far
Actor Pedro Pascal, playing Reed Richards in Marvel Studio’s upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday, spoke about the most significant set leak to date. With fans eagerly anticipating what’s to come from this potential blockbuster comic book movie, packed with moments long-awaited by many, Marvel Studios is working hard to keep secrets under wraps for the next year and a half. However, Pascal did confirm one major detail that has already leaked.
Pedro Pascal, an actor from Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), revealed that Alan Cumming was behind the largest leak in the movie “Avengers: Doomsday.” With 27 confirmed cast members, this film boasts the most impressive ensemble of actors in any MCU production. Despite the set being tightly controlled to prevent leaks, a few minor plot details have managed to sneak out.
On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Cumming stepped in as a temporary host and spoke with Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach following the premiere of The Fantastic Four in Los Angeles. When asked about the difficulties of keeping Marvel’s secrets, Pascal playfully pointed out, “the most significant leak we’ve had originated from our host,” subtly referring to Cumming.
Cumming: “Do you find it difficult to keep all the Marvel secrets?”
It’s quite amusing that you brought this up, didn’t you? Our largest data breach has originated from our server. By any chance, did you run into some difficulties?
Kirby: “Did they phone you up?”
Cumming: “My publicist called me. The wrath of a publicist is not a wrath you want.”
In an attempt to mislead fans, Cumming suggested Pascal should make it clear that there was no physical altercation (or “fight”) between them during filming, as both were intent on preserving the mystery surrounding the movie.
In the film, have you actually engaged in a fight with me as I suggested earlier, Pedro?
Pascal: “Alan and I have never been in a fight.”
The interview from early May mentioned that Cumming casually disclosed a duel between his character Nightcrawler and Pascal’s Mister Fantastic in Avengers: Doomsday. Whether they are being truthful or deceitful is unclear, but it hints at some validity to Cumming’s earlier statements regarding his return to Marvel.
I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be part of an extraordinary ensemble of Marvel actors spanning various generations for the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday,” the MCU’s fifth Avengers film and the initial release in Phase 6. This epic tale will traverse numerous parallel universes, assembling both legacy heroes and the finest the MCU has to offer to confront Robert Downey Jr.’s formidable Doctor Doom. “Avengers: Doomsday” is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
When to Expect New Information on Avengers: Doomsday
After pushing back the release date of “Avengers: Doomsday”, Marvel Studios plans to finish filming by the end of this year. This would allow them an entire year in 2026 for post-production and visual effects work. Given the growing excitement surrounding this movie and to keep fans guessing, Marvel is likely to hold onto their major secrets until a later time.
Prior to revealing any videos or photos, the team will undoubtedly disclose additional actors who will be joining the already confirmed cast. Although this could occur by the end of the year, Marvel has a reputation for unexpected announcements, so nothing can be definitively set in stone at this point.
Furthermore, regarding Cumming and the actors from the Fantastic Four, there’s no information available on how much filming they have left to complete for the movie Doomsday. Given the hints about potential splits within the Fantastic Four cast, we can’t rule out any possibilities concerning their future actions in relation to the X-Men in this film.
In the short term, don’t anticipate many updates regarding Doomday, given that The Fantastic Four is currently gearing up for a global cinema release.
