Okay, so I just heard from Halle Berry herself, and it doesn’t look like Storm will be joining the cast of Avengers: Doomsday. While the rumor mill has been working overtime about who’s joining the movie, Berry has firmly denied she’ll be reprising her role. Now, we all know Marvel is famous for keeping secrets, so a small part of me wonders if she’s throwing us off the scent, but it seems pretty definitive right now. Don’t hold your breath, Storm fans!
Halle Berry once again clarifies if she’s returning in Avengers: Doomsday
While promoting her new movie, Crime 101 – alongside Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth – Halle Berry was playfully asked if it could lead to her character, Storm, appearing in a future Avengers film. Berry quickly and directly answered, “Storm is not in the Avengers movie.” She emphasized her point, stating, “I promise you, people think I’m being secretive or joking, but I’m being serious – I’m not in it, okay.”
Halle Berry continues to say she won’t be in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ movie, even though Marvel has announced the X-Men will be part of the cast. However, her denials haven’t stopped fans from speculating, largely because Marvel is known for keeping plot details under wraps. This is similar to what happened with Andrew Garfield, who initially denied being in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ before eventually appearing in the film with Tobey Maguire. That past situation has led many to believe Berry might still have a surprise role.
Online, fans are divided about whether the actress is telling the truth. Some believe her, with one suggesting we won’t see her character until the third Black Panther movie as T’Challa’s wife. Others are doubtful, pointing to Marvel’s history of keeping secrets. One fan compared the situation to Andrew Garfield’s surprise appearance as Spider-Man, while another predicted she’s being saved for a major role in the upcoming Secret Wars movie.
Avengers: Doomsday is an upcoming Marvel movie that will likely unite classic Avengers heroes with characters from the X-Men. The already announced cast, including James Marsden, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, and Kelsey Grammer, is creating a lot of excitement.
Avengers: Doomsday is slated to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
