Avengers: Doomsday Cast List SHOCK! Fans Furious!

There’s a lot of discussion among fans following Marvel’s unveiling of the cast for “Avengers: Doomsday” during their thrilling live broadcast this week.

On Wednesday, the studios announced their large ensemble cast during a live stream on YouTube and confirmed that the filming of the upcoming movie has begun.

Previously shared news: Robert Downey Jr. is set to rejoin the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this time portraying the antagonist, Doctor Doom, in an upcoming movie instead of Iron Man.

Additionally, it seems there may be further developments since Marvel subtly suggested so in a conversation on Instagram with Robert Downey Jr., who is 59 years old, on the post they shared on social media.

Delighting numerous enthusiasts, this stellar roster featured several cherished celebrities, some of whom we had assumed to have bid their farewell performances in previous episodes or alternate realms.

Yet, many devoted followers felt let down as several prominent characters conspicuously failed to appear among the extensive roster of returning actors.

On this platform, numerous social media enthusiasts began utilizing it, once known as Twitter, to spread memes, mocking the extensive cast roster that appeared to be never-ending, while also mentioning other A-list actors and their iconic roles from unrelated, non-superhero movie series.

They wondered if the announcement had disclosed all members of the main cast, pointing out that the roster seemed to be lacking in diversity as there were far fewer women represented on the list compared to male actors.

Many enthusiasts eagerly anticipated the comeback of the original X-Men from the Foxverse in the upcoming film, yet found themselves puzzled as to why beloved characters such as Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk, Wolverine, and Deadpool were not included in the lineup.

Some fans pondered over the reason for omitting major stars like Tom Holland, Mark Ruffalo, Benedict Cumberbatch, Brie Larson, and others from the cast list, suggesting that they might make a shocking cameo or take on leading roles in the sequel movie, Avengers: Secret Wars.

Once more, a few expressed disappointment that Elizabeth Olsen wouldn’t feature in the upcoming Avengers films – despite her having announced only yesterday that she won’t be part of the next two installments.

The live broadcast also verified that the principal actors from the original X-Men series on Fox, such as Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, and Channing Tatum, will be reprising their roles.

Some fans are already pondering over the storyline of the next release, and they’re raising doubts regarding how the Marvel Cinematic Universe will intersect with the Fantastic Four world and the original X-Men group.

In the upcoming production, Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as Thor, alongside Anthony Mackie who made his debut as the latest Captain America in last month’s Captain America: Brave New World. Joining them is Danny Ramirez, taking over the role of the new Falcon, previously played by Joaquin Torres.

In simpler terms, Sebastian Stan is coming back to play the character, Bucky Barnes (aka The Winter Soldier), while Paul Rudd will resume his role as Scott Lang (also known as Ant-Man), and Tom Hiddleston will once more take on the part of Loki.

In the upcoming film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, Letitia Wright reprises her role as Shuri, now the new Black Panther, and Winston Duke is set to return as M’Baku.

Furthermore, there was quite a buzz when the new cast members joining the massive Avengers team were revealed, featuring Pedro Pascal portraying Mr. Fantastic, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing from the Fantastic Four: Origin Story.

In a continuation of roles, Simu Liu takes on Shang-Chi once more, while Tenoch Huerta Huerta Mejía is set to reappear following his portrayal of the aquatic adversary Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Wyatt Russell steps into the part of U.S. Agent, Hannah John-Kamen plays Ghost, and Lewis Pullman becomes enshrouded in mystery as Bob.

It’s been six years since the Avengers last joined forces on-screen, which was during their epic battle against and ultimate defeat of Josh Brolin’s character Thanos, in the 2019 movie Avengers: Endgame.

In the very same episode, viewers bid farewell to Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow.

After that introduction, Marvel has continued to expand their cinematic universe by featuring fresh superheroes like Shang-Chi (portrayed by Liu) and Black Panther (Wright’s character), as well as the Eternals, in standalone films.

Initially, I, as a lifestyle and entertainment aficionado, shared the sentiment of many Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) enthusiasts who believed that the demise of the cherished Iron Man character signified the end of Robert Downey Jr.’s on-screen appearances within the MCU.

Last July came an unexpected announcement from the actor: he would take on the role of the villainous Victor von Doom, or Doctor Doom, in the upcoming film. This revelation was made during his unexpected appearance at San Diego Comic-Con.

Joe and Anthony Russo, the duo behind Marvel films, are set to rejoin the Marvel universe as directors of Avengers: Endgame’s sequel, titled Avengers: Doomsday.

Previously, they had been the director for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, as well as the last two Avengers films.

Moreover, Marvel is set to launch Thunderbolts on May 2nd, while The Fantastic Four: First Steps will debut during the summer on July 25th.

A multitude of enthusiasts flocked to X, previously known as Twitter, to voice their opinions about the extended roster, cracking witty remarks that they would likely live through multiple decades before the lengthy video announcement concluded.

It appeared that other passionate Marvel fans showed little enthusiasm about the announced lineup, and felt disappointed as some crucial characters conspicuously didn’t make the cast.

Some viewers, due to the numerous stars featured in this narrative, hypothesized that the plot might appear disjointed or scattered throughout.

It was speculated that since the large number of characters indicated a significant number of casualties during the major confrontation with Doctor Doom, those actors not appearing could reprise their roles in the following film.

noticeably, some social media commentators highlighted the scarcity of diversity within the list, as it featured just five female individuals and predominantly white male celebrities.

Others were saddened by the departure of beloved actresses like Elizabeth Olsen from her role as Scarlet Witch in the forthcoming film, leaving them disheartened at her absence.

Many fans noted the major stars not included, such as Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

Furthermore, there might be even more unexpected appearances in store since Marvel and Downey Jr. hinted at further surprise cameos.

On Marvel’s recent Instagram announcement, Downey Jr. posted a comment with a hint of sarcasm, saying: “Is that the big reveal then?

In response, Marvel hinted at more to come as they responded: ‘There’s always room for more…’

The highly-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday will receive a theatrical release on May 1, 2026.
