Avengers: 2 MCU Disney+ Heroes Get Doomsday Status Updates

The upcoming movie, Avengers: Doomsday, will feature a huge cast of heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will bring together the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four to battle Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. But while many heroes will appear, not every MCU character will be involved in the story.

Filming for additional scenes on Avengers: Doomsday begins this month, and we’re learning which familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be joining the production. Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau), and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) weren’t included in the initial cast reveal, but they are all expected to film new scenes or provide additional dialogue for the movie.

Previous reports suggested Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk would be in the Doomsday movie, but James Mack, a source familiar with the project, now says that’s not true. This contradicts a report from entertainment journalist Michael Roman, who claimed She-Hulk would join Sam Wilson’s new Avengers team.

A new MCU superhero reportedly won’t be in Avengers: Doomsday despite appearing in concept art

Mack recently confirmed on X that Kate Bishop, also known as Hawkeye, will appear in the upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday. They also mentioned that She-Hulk isn’t currently in the film, although concept art showed her as part of Sam Wilson’s team. Mack added that She-Hulk might be added during filming in April, but that’s not confirmed yet.

It’s unknown whether the rumor about She-Hulk appearing in Doomsday started with concept art mentioned by insider Mack. Although She-Hulk was introduced as a new Marvel hero with her own Disney+ show, she hasn’t appeared in any projects since 2022.

Although Tatiana Maslany has said she’s not eager to work with Disney on future projects, sources say this doesn’t apply to her work with Marvel Studios. However, she hasn’t been announced in any upcoming Marvel projects, so it’s currently unclear if she’ll continue her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fans hoping to see She-Hulk back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe won’t have to wait much longer, as ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ – scheduled for release on December 18, 2026 – may feature her return.
