Avatar 3: You Won’t BELIEVE Who’s Back!
As a dedicated film enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement after hearing about the eleven characters set to appear in James Cameron’s Avatar 3: Fire and Ash! This highly anticipated sequel to Avatar: The Way of Water continues the epic saga of Jake Sully and his family, who are compelled to leave their home and seek sanctuary among other Na’vi tribes scattered across the fantastical world of Pandora. Can’t wait to see what adventures await them!
At CinemaCon, the movie was exhibited with a specially screened trailer exclusively for attendees. These viewers reacted enthusiastically to the sneak peek of the upcoming “Avatar 3” footage. Given that the first two Avatar movies were massive hits at the box office, there is considerable anticipation for the release of “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” set for December 19th.
Disney Confirms Major Character Returns In Avatar 3
The latest announcement from Walt Disney Studios reveals that some familiar faces will be returning to star in the upcoming film, Avatar 3. This suggests an impressive roster of characters is expected for this highly anticipated sequel.
The full list of characters can be seen below:
Jake Sully
It’s hardly shocking that Sam Worthington reappears as Jake Sully, the human man who developed a strong connection to his avatar and ultimately chose to live among the Na’vi after falling in love with one in the initial movie.
In “Avatar: The Way of Water,” we see Jake struggling with the challenges of parenthood and the reemergence of adversaries from his past. Despite defeating Quaritch in their seabattle in the second film, the trailer for “Avatar 3” hints at another thrilling confrontation between them.
Neytiri
At this year’s CinemaCon event, Zoe Saldaña was instrumental in its introduction, verifying that the esteemed actress, who won an Oscar, will reprise her role as Neytiri – Jake’s Na’vi spouse and the mother of their offspring in ‘Avatar 3’.
In the movie “Avatar: The Way of Water”, Neytiri, having been separated from her tribe, displayed great courage in defending her family and their new home among the Metkayina. This is set to be a significant theme in “Avatar 3”, as Neytiri grapples with the grief of losing her son and her reluctance towards their adopted human child, Spider, may further complicate matters.
Kiri
In the captivating world of “Avatar 2”, I am introduced as Kiri, a cherished member of the Sully clan. Jake and Neytiri have graciously welcomed me into their family, for I am their adopted daughter. A fascinating twist is that I was born from Dr. Grace Augustine’s Avatar, which means that Sigourney Weaver masterfully portrays both my biological mother and the role of a clan member.
In the movie “Avatar: The Way of Water”, Kiri uncovered a unique bond with Eywa, and it’s expected that more secrets surrounding this connection will unfold when the third film arrives. Moreover, we saw the young Na’vi character seeking information about her origins, which could be clarified in greater detail in “Avatar 3”.
Quaritch
In the initial Avatar movie, Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) was believed to have perished when Jake and Neytiri defeated him. However, an advanced cloning technique resurrected the soldier in a new Na’vi body, maintaining his objective of retribution against the Na’vi community, with a special focus on the Sully tribe.
In the movie “Avatar: The Way of Water,” Quaritch establishes a link with Spider, who ultimately rescues him. After being defeated by Jake and the Na’vi again, it’s expected that Quaritch will come back with an increased arsenal in “Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Ronal
In the movie “Avatar: The Way of Water”, Ronal, who is the spiritual head of the Metkayina clan (portrayed by Kate Winslet), eventually permitted the Sully family to seek shelter among them, following much persuasion.
As a cinephile immersed in the vibrant world of Pandora, I eagerly anticipate the upcoming journey in “Avatar: Fire and Ash.” It seems my beloved character, Ronal, will be shouldering the responsibility of guiding her clan through an intriguing turn of events. This includes the arrival of various Na’vi tribes, some of which are rumored to possess unique abilities – air and fire people among them. The excitement is palpable as I prepare myself for this cinematic adventure!
Tonowari
In the sequel, Ronal’s friend, Tonowari (portrayed by Cliff Curtis), welcomed the Sully family and chose to fight alongside them against the RDA in a bid to safeguard their tribe and the valuable Tulkun creatures.
Just like Ronal, the story of Avatar: Fire and Ash will present fresh trials for the Metkayina clan, as they brace themselves for the arrival of the RDA and engage in diplomatic discussions with other Na’vi tribes.
Varang
In the upcoming series “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” a new character named Varang, portrayed by Oona Chaplin, will take on the role of the antagonist. Varang leads the Ash clan, a group known for their aggressive nature.
According to Director James Cameron, the upcoming film Avatar 3 aims to present the Na’vi characters in a new and potentially challenging way, introducing the fiery Fire clan as a contrast to their previous portrayal.
Spider
In the film titled “Avatar: Fire and Ash“, Jack Champion reprises his role as Spider, the adopted human son of Jake and Neytiri. Spider faced a challenging path in “Avatar 2” when he was torn away from his family and compelled to aid the RDA in subduing the Na’vi community.
In the movie “The Way of Water,” Spider initially resisted forming a connection with Quaritch, but eventually did so against his will. The choice he made at the end, sparing Quaritch’s life, could potentially influence events in “Avatar 3.” With Spider now back with his family, the Sully clan, and part of the Metkayina tribe, we can expect some intriguing new interactions between Spider and various Avatar characters.
Lo’ak
In the upcoming movie “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” Lo’ak, the son of Jake and Neytiri, will take on a larger part. Played by Britain Dalton, we can expect him to grapple with the loss of his brother, which occurred at the end of “Avatar: The Way of Water.” Additionally, there are hints that he may develop a new relationship with Tsireya from the Metkayina tribe.
Tuk
In simpler terms, among Jake and Neytiri’s offspring, it is Tuk (Trinity Bliss), the youngest, who shares a tight bond with her kin. The emerging clans in the third Avatar film, titled “Fire and Ash”, are expected to pose challenges for Tuk.
Tsireya
In the movie “Avatar: The Way of Water”, Tsireya, played by Bailey Bass, was presented as the child of Ronal and Tonowari. She quickly formed a connection with Lo’ak and assisted him and his family in learning the customs of the Metkayina tribe. As the story unfolds in “Avatar: Fire and Ash”, it is expected that her bond with Lo’ak will deepen further, while they face various challenges together.
