Avatar 3: Quaritch’s Shocking Fate Revealed in New Video Game DLC

A recent update for the world of Avatar came from a surprising place: the Ubisoft game, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. A new downloadable content (DLC) expansion, called “From the Ashes,” launched alongside the new film, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and adds more story details related to the movies. This expansion includes a brand new storyline with new missions and challenging boss battles against both the RDA and the Ash Clan.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora reveals what happens to Quaritch after Fire and Ash ending

At the very end of the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes DLC, after the credits roll, players can hear a brief conversation. Colonel Miles Quaritch radios Tyler Bukowski, ordering him to regroup and figure out their next steps just as the DLC’s title appears.

The movie Avatar: Fire and Ash concludes with a fight between Quaritch and Jake Sully, where Sully surprisingly saves Quaritch’s life. Quaritch then uses this chance to escape, jumping into a dangerous area to avoid capture by the Sully clan. Since the events of the game are officially part of the movie’s story, the audio clip after the credits gives us more information about what happened to Quaritch after he escaped.

Although the movie doesn’t definitively say what happens to Quaritch, the game suggests possibilities for the future of the series. The ending was filmed in August, according to reports, but it’s unclear exactly when the post-credits scene was added. James Cameron recently told The Hollywood Reporter that whether the Avatar franchise continues depends on how well ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ performs in theaters and how audiences react. He designed the ending so the story can wrap up if needed.

Cameron admitted this movie could be his last. He explained that there’s just one major question remaining about the future of cinema: will audiences embrace large-scale films like Avatar 3, or will they prefer other types of movies? He said the success of the film in January will be the deciding factor, and right now, it’s impossible to predict which way it will go.
