Autopsy results of RHOC alum Lauri Peterson’s son Josh Waring reveal cause of death at age 35
As a longtime fan of The Real Housewives of Orange County, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of sadness upon hearing about the untimely death of Josh Waring. I remember him as a young boy on the show, full of life and energy, with his infectious smile lighting up the screen.
Officials in Orange County, California have disclosed the reason behind the demise of Josh Waring, who was the child of Lauri Peterson from The Real Housewives of Orange County series.
Reportedly, Waring, aged 35, succumbed on March 31st due to a lethal mix of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and olanzapine, as confirmed by authorities from the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner Department to TMZ.
Officials ruled that Waring’s death was ruled ‘accidental,’ according to the outlet.
On April 6th, through her Instagram account, Peterson, aged 63, shared a heartrending message about the passing of her son.
Peterson wrote, expressing immense sadness, ‘I’m sharing this news with a broken heart – my beloved Josh passed away on Easter Sunday.’ There is no way to fully brace oneself for the profound pain of such loss. My entire being aches with grief.
For much of his adult years, Josh waged a daily battle for survival. However, last Sunday, the struggle became too intense for him.
According to Peterson, his son’s childhood brimmed with profound intellect, laughter, playful mischief, sports such as snowboarding and bodyboarding, treks through mountains, reading, friendships, and a passion for music.
She noted that even amidst adult struggles, Josh consistently managed to keep a lighthearted spirit, remained optimistic, demonstrated kindness towards others, stood up for the voiceless, and showed an incredibly deep love for his family.
Ashley Zarlin, Warning’s sister, shared a collection of old photos on Instagram on April 6th, depicting them over the years. She wrote that she had tragically lost her ‘brother to the unyielding grasp of substance abuse.’
She commented, ‘It’s a condition that twists and ruins, leaving behind smashed aspirations and heart fragments.’
Zarlin acknowledged Peterson for her relentless devotion and untiring endeavors in aiding Waring during his struggle with addiction. She expressed regret that she couldn’t do or be more to guide him towards recovery and peace.
Zarlin added, ‘He was brilliant and had limitless potential, but addiction veered him off course.
I deeply regret the missed chances for us to mature side by side, to exchange joyous moments, dreams, and discussions we’ll never experience, and aspirations that won’t come true.
As a lifestyle connoisseur looking back on my life’s journey, I find myself reflecting on the memories shared with my cherished loved ones who continue to carry on my legacy. Among them are my resilient daughter Kennady, age 12, my devoted parents Lauri and George Peterson, and my dear sisters Ashley and Sophie. Their presence in my life has been a source of immense joy and pride.

Lauri declared that Kennady Kaydence is now an official middle schooler and she’s adding her spunk to sixth grade. Previously seen on the first four seasons of RHOC, Lauri expressed gratitude for this radiant young lady who continues to inspire her. Wishing you a fantastic year ahead!
