They’re diving deep into Kong’s backstory, showing us Skull Island before the big storm that wiped out the Iwi people – which is cool since we saw the aftermath in Godzilla vs. Kong. We know Kong’s going to have a showdown with Titan X eventually, but the first episode already gave us a glimpse of some strange creatures that seem connected to Titan X somehow – maybe they’re its babies or live with it.
