It was truly inspiring to see Clayface, the shapeshifting criminal who terrorized Gotham City, use his powers to help people. However, it was deeply disappointing when he gave up being a hero and returned to his life of crime.

I’ve always been fascinated by Elaine May – she’s a truly underappreciated filmmaker from the 70s. What makes her even more remarkable is that she was one of the very few women directing films at the time, and she wasn’t just a director; she also acted in some incredible movies and wrote so many others! People often mention A New Leaf or The Heartbreak Kid when talking about her work, but for me, her most powerful film is Mikey and Nicky. It’s a brilliant crime drama, though it sadly got lost in the shadow of those bigger, more famous gangster films.

Billy Butcher violently attacked Victoria Neuman, and then took the virus designed to kill superpowered people, leaving his team behind. Sister Sage then manipulated events to make it look like President-elect Robert Singer had assassinated Neuman. This allowed the Speaker of the House, Calhoun, to seize power. As anticipated, Calhoun immediately pledged his support to Homelander, effectively making him the leader of the United States.

Even though the 2020s aren’t over yet, several anime have already made a significant impact and will likely be remembered for a long time. While the action-packed ‘shonen’ genre consistently delivers new shows, other genres are also producing exciting anime. These series will become popular recommendations for newcomers and will likely influence future anime creations.
