Australia’s Next Top Model star Brooke Hogan criticised for ‘tone deaf’ paid post for luxury airline

Brooke Hogan has been called out by fans over an ‘out of touch’ social media post.

Previously known Australia’s Next Top Model contestant recently posted on Instagram, promoting a sponsored partnership with the high-end airline, Emirates.

The article showcased a set of pictures highlighting Brooke savoring the perks of traveling business class on that particular airline.

The carousel was titled: ‘7 honest things no one tells you about flying Emirates Business class.’

She continued praising the high-end service, highlighting features such as a limo service for airport pickups and dropoffs with a professional driver.

Additional advantages recognized by the entrepreneur encompassed “top-tier culinary experiences” and “luxurious Bulgari amenity kits, unique to this establishment.

‘There’s free flowing wine,’ Brooke wrote on one image.

‘During your flight, you’ll find a wide variety of free beverages, which include Moët & Chandon champagne as well as six prestigious award-winning wines.’

Instead of creating a feeling of travel envy among her 619,000 followers, the post seemed to produce an opposite response.

Many took to the comments to crtiticise Brooke for what they claimed was a ‘tone deaf’ post.

In other parts, folks typically hold ordinary jobs and likely won’t have the resources for such a thing,’ one envious spectator commented.

‘The first person found the content easy to identify with, as another commented, and a third remarked that it seemed appealing, almost surreal and detached from reality.’

Not only did it not stop there, but it continued with another statement: “You really need to grab that money, but sharing this might attract some unfavorable comments.

Another suggestion: “It’s wonderful to hear about your fantastic experience, but I suppose everyone has an idea of what business class is.

You can easily tell if someone traveled business class – they’re sure to let you know!

The situation wasn’t only filled with negativity; there were plenty who confessed their feelings of jealousy in response to the post as well.

There was a mix of reactions to the post, not just negative ones – many admitted they were envious too.

‘Last year, we took a business class flight with Emirates to Paris for our honeymoon. If only I had known about their chauffeur service then.’

‘It was so great, it has unfortunately ruined me for regular flights.’

A different person added: “Wow, could I swap spots with you instead?”, as another expressed what seemed to be the general feeling with: “This is simply amazing.

Ever since she made an appearance on Australia’s Next Top Model back in 2013, Brooke has expanded her career globally and remains a frequent presence in Sydney and Melbourne.

She has collaborated with numerous brands such as Myer, Tommy Hilfiger, Seafolly, and YSL, in addition to serving as a TV host on Channel 7’s lifestyle program, The Great Weekend.

Apart from being the founder, Brooke is additionally responsible for establishing the fashion and swimwear brand Le Mon, as well as the digital Pilates studio named Our Pilates.

The entrepreneur welcomed her first child, Billy, with husband Myles Pitt back in 2023.
