Didier Cohen, known for his role on Australia’s Next Top Model, shared a distressing news update as he disclosed that he and his family are currently caught up in the Los Angeles wildfires.

39-year-old model from America shared on Instagram that his opulent house in Malibu was completely consumed by fire, along with the property owned by his father.

Farewell, my cherished Malibu dwelling. Continue sending your comforting thoughts. The past 24 hours have been incredibly difficult – unfortunately, my father’s entire home has been consumed by fire,” Cohen shared.

‘He almost got his life taken. It’s tough out here.’

Cohen then reassured fans his family was still in good health, despite the enormous hardship.

I am currently seeking refuge with family, prioritizing safety and maintaining a positive outlook amidst the ongoing situation. Another blaze is raging elsewhere, but I appreciate your concern and the positive energy you’re sending my way.

The LA-bred reality figure expressed that he was struggling to maintain a positive outlook and wasn’t certain what specific ‘lesson’ he should draw from the situation.

‘Unfortunate events can occur without warning, making it vital to make the most of what we currently possess at any given time, as their sudden disappearance could leave us with nothing.’

‘Wishing you love and resilience, friend. A stunning rainbow path is nearing you.’

‘My heart is breaking for all of you. I’m so sorry,’ a second user added.

It comes after Cohen revealed he had been forced to evacuate his home as fires rage across LA.

In the role of a lifestyle expert, A massive wildfire in Pacific Palisades compelled me to advise tens of thousands of residents to evacuate urgently. Some had to abandon their vehicles and seek refuge on foot due to blocked roads.

This version maintains the original meaning while using first-person narrative, making it more engaging for the reader.

On Wednesday, the reality TV personality posted a sequence of distressing videos on his Instagram story, which captured the encroaching flames nearing his residence.

A video displayed Didier entering his front yard, sporting a sweater with its hood covering his bald head.

‘Um, not good,’ he said as he surveyed the frightening scene.

1. ‘Surrounding our entire house are fires. They’re evidently on the opposite side of the street. Homes nearby are already being consumed by the flames.’

2. ‘Fires encircle our house completely. They seem to be across the street. Houses are already being swallowed up by the blaze.’

3. ‘The house is surrounded by fires, and it appears they’re on the other side of the street. Already, neighboring houses are being devoured by the flames.’

Two hours after the initial video, the model continued the sequence by presenting another clip featuring him leaving his garage, this time donning a respirator mask.

‘It’s getting real dicey, I can’t see anything now,’ he said in the video.

‘We’ve been told to evacuate, so I hope the house is all right. I hope everyone’s all right.’

Firefighters struggling against the rapidly spreading fire, consuming roughly the equivalent of five football fields every sixty seconds, issued alerts that their resources, including water and supplies, were dwindling. As evacuation advisories expanded towards Malibu and Calabasas, residents in these areas were warned to prepare for potential evacuation.

People living nearby have been told that things could get even worse, since the fierce wildfire continues to rapidly consume over 2,900 acres of land in Los Angeles.

In the well-known neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, which now resembles a wasteland with destroyed houses, reside stars such as Chris Pratt, Reese Witherspoon, and Miles Teller, along with many other prominent figures in the entertainment industry.

Cohen first shot to fame as a judge on Channel Seven’s reality show Beauty and the Geek.

He then went on to enjoy a stint on The Celebrity Apprentice Australia.

Cohen then joined Australia’s Next Top Model as a mentor for two seasons.
