Shonee Bowtell has given birth to her second child.
Australian Survivor contestant and soon-to-be wife, Matt Jamieson, recently welcomed a baby daughter named Vera Mae. She shared the heartwarming story of Vera Mae’s birth on Instagram this Tuesday. The couple are also parents to a son named Vally.
The 33-year-old shared that she had a water birth for her second child, who arrived much faster than her first. Her first baby was born in December 2023 after 16 hours of labor.
I thought I was done for the day once I got in the pool, figuring I’d have to swim for another two hours. Boy, was I wrong!
I experienced a strong burning sensation, and then suddenly, the baby started to emerge! My midwife said the head was already out and I just needed one more push to deliver the rest of the body.
Shonee explained she was surprised when her daughter was handed to her just eleven minutes after she got to the hospital.

‘I couldn’t believe our beautiful daughter was here,’ she added.
I questioned whether I was overreacting by going to the hospital so quickly this time, especially because with my first child, Vally, I labored at home for the first 16 hours – with intense contractions lasting around 12 of those hours.
‘Thank goodness Matt called the midwife when he did and that she has told us to leave.’
She gushed that she couldn’t ask for a better birth, calling it a ‘wild experience’.
It’s amazing how much pain you can handle without even basic pain relief! I feel so fortunate to have had such wonderful support during my pregnancy and childbirth.
The post featured a series of adorable pictures of Shonee, Matt, and their new baby, capturing moments from their hospital stay and their first days at home as a family.
Other pictures showed the TV star in the birthing pool, preparing for the arrival of her daughter.
Shonee is a veteran of Australian Survivor, having competed on the show four times, most recently in the Australia V World season earlier this year.

Shonee and Matt got engaged in August after dating since 2023. Matt owns a rendering business in Queensland.
Shone excitedly announced on Instagram exactly one month ago that her life is continuing to improve. She expressed her anticipation for marrying the man she considers her dream partner, and shared how fortunate she feels.
She and her partner got engaged last month, sharing the news with a fun black and white photo booth picture.
The couple have remained tight-lipped about their wedding plans.
