Australian Idol runner-up doesn’t look like this anymore! Singer rocks an edgy new look as she attends launch of pop-up recording studio
As a dedicated follower of Australian Idol and a firm believer in justice, I can confidently say that Amy Reeves was robbed of her rightful victory this year. The talent she showcased during the competition was unmatched and it’s clear that many fans agree with me. While Dylan Wright may have been crowned the winner, I have no doubt that Amy will rise above and become a household name in no time.
Approximately half a year after her stint on Australian Idol, Amy Reeves has recently revealed a fresh, updated appearance.
This year, the second-place finalist from Channel Seven’s singing contest, who was up against Dylan Wright, showcased an extremely fashionable alternative style at the unveiling of a temporary Miraval rosé recording studio in Sydney on Tuesday.
Amy, known as Amy Pania on stage, was exceptionally fashionable, sporting an oversized grey graphic top and a chic black miniskirt.
In my latest outfit choice, I’ve opted for a stylish pair of strappy red ballet flats complemented by delicate lace socks. My hair, a rich shade of dark brown, is adorned with tight curls and fringe, adding a touch of elegance to the ensemble.
Her alternative look was worlds away from the songstress’ Australian Idol season nine audition.
As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but share my awe: I left the judges speechless with my interpretation of “A Natural Woman” by Aretha Franklin. Kyle Sandilands, Marcia Hines, and Amy Shark were all left in awe!
The Broome native made it through to the nail-biting finale but lost out to winner Dylan Wright from NSW.
However, numerous supporters of Channel Seven’s revamped singing competition are outraged by the results, arguing that Amy deserved to win the grand prize instead.
Many people on X, formerly known as Twitter, voiced their dissatisfaction with the final outcomes.
“Contact the authorities! There’s been a robbery at Australian Idol. Amy, who is arguably the greatest performer in the show’s history, was unfairly treated.” (Paraphrased to be more polite and less emotive)
A significant number of people agreed that Amy deserved the victory: “I’m at a loss for words, it seems Amy was unfairly denied her win.
‘What?! Dylan won! He has a sweet voice, not a great voice. Amy was robbed,’ another read.
A different fan of American Idol remarked, “I was surprised that Amy didn’t emerge victorious. In my opinion, she was one of the strongest contestants we’ve seen in a while.
As some disheartened viewers looked forward, they harbored optimism about Amy’s future, pointing to past instances where contestants who didn’t win the show went on to have successful careers.
One person stated, ‘Typically, the one who loses grows more in stature than the victor; I hope this becomes true for Amy.’
On Tuesday at the Miraval gathering, Amy was accompanied by numerous TV personalities and musicians, among them Alésia Delaney from “The Bachelors”.
Previously known television personality, who publicly announced her separation from Jed McIntosh in February 2023, exuded elegance in a chic, black strapless jumpsuit.
She accessorised with a black Prada clutch, while her hair was styled up with a middle part.
Australian musician Cxloe also attended the star-studded event.
She confidently showcased her fashionable figure in a white embroidered top, a tanned skirt, and black Hunter rain boots.
On their tour, Peking Duk’s live vocalist, Lucy Lucy, donned a stylish ensemble that included denim pants, a white blouse, and a sleek leather jacket.
She pulled her hair back, highlighting her tortoiseshell sunglasses, and paired her attire with a set of leather boots.
The performer took a sip from Miraval’s Studio Rosé, a beverage you can buy at Dan Murphy’s and BWS stores.
Miraval collaborates with Brightside Studios in Surry Hills, allowing them to occupy one studio. In return, they extend an invitation to budding artists in Sydney for two full weeks of free studio access.
To show respect for the cutting-edge recording facility, Miraval Studios, nestled within Château Miraval, artists are given the opportunity to reserve their own studio time at no cost.
Starting from the 4th of November, all reservations for this studio will include coverage by Miraval, and moreover, you’ll find yourself working in a fully-equipped studio with the added bonus of complimentary bottles of STUDIO by Miraval.
