Australian Idol 2025: Shocking Winner Emerges After Record-Breaking Public Vote!

The winner of Australian Idol 2025 has been announced.

In the thrilling culmination of events on Monday, the competition narrowed to three contestants: Gisella Colletti (from Perth), Marshall Hamburger (the Sunshine Coast) and Iilysh Terallick (NSW).

In the end, it was Marshall who emerged triumphant, leaving the 19-year-old speechless from the momentous choice made.

After receiving the majority of public votes, the talented artist wins a cash reward of $100,000 and secures a recording deal with Sony Music Australia, enabling them to continue their musical journey.

Fighting back emotion Marshall thanked his fans. 

‘Thank you, Australia, thank you so much,’ he said.

‘You’re gonna see a lot of me in the future.’

About the singing contest, the thrilled teen exclaimed, “I find it hard to believe! I’ve undergone such a transformation; without a doubt, I’ve left my comfort zone behind.

As the competition unfolded on Monday, it was Giselle who was the first to be eliminated. This left Marshall and Illyish to contend for the win.

Instead of choosing his final tracks, Marshall selected the 1981 hit “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” by The Police for his performances.

Iilyish, meanwhile, picked the Alanis Morrisette tune You Oughta Know.

Both selections were used when the up and coming stars auditioned for the singing competition.

Judge Kyle Sandilands gushed over Marshall’s talent. 

The radio host expressed his desire for a psychic medium to determine which deceased music icon you might have been reborn as.

‘It’s just not possible that such a young, fresh boy is such a seasoned genius musician.’

Additionally, Marcia Hine expressed her excitement about the Idol champion’s talent, and Amy Shark commented, “From the moment you walked into the audition room, sat down at the piano, you transformed into a star of extraordinary magnitude.

‘Now you are an absolute weapon ready to take on the world.’

Producer’s of Australian Idol have made known that Marshall will release his debut album titled “The Idol Collection.” This album encompasses a total of 11 tracks, each one being a standout performance he delivered during the competition.
