Australian hip hop group Hilltop Hoods make a huge comeback as they announce first new album in six years
Hilltop Hoods are making a huge comeback.
The iconic Australian hip-hop band has revealed plans for a long-awaited debut of their fresh album, after a gap of six years.
On Wednesday, the Australian rap stars announced on social media that their new album, “Fall From The Light,” is set for release on August 1st.
The writer stated that the creation of this album was a test of endurance due to its six-year gap from their previous releases, yet the delay had a valid explanation.
They added the long wait allowed the group to produce some of the best work of their career.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but reflect on the tumultuous times we’ve lived through – globally and personally. Yet, amidst all this chaos, it seems to me that ‘Time’ has proven to be the album’s greatest asset, not its liability.

On no other album have we been as meticulous and precise. This diligence has led to a creation that’s been intricately designed with exceptional care and focus on every detail.
‘It’s an album we’re really proud of, and a body of music we can’t wait to share with everyone.’
‘That’s awesome. Hopefully a tour announcement soon,’ one person wrote.
‘This is so cool!!! Cannot wait boys!’ a second added.
Hilltop Hoods have release nine studio albums since forming in Adelaide in 1994.
2019 saw the band admit that financial constraints prevented them from extending their popular tour abroad, despite their significant achievement in Australia.
Matt Lambert, a member, shared with The Daily Telegraph that the Australian stage production they’re involved with has grown quite expansive, saying, “It’s become incredibly grand now.

As a devoted follower, I’d express that statement like this: “Should we decide to bring the grand spectacle abroad, I’d need to part with every property I own to cover the costs.
In simpler terms, Lambert (also recognized as MC Suffa) mentioned that their mainstream popularity propelled them from being outsiders to serious competitors.
He expressed that he no longer feels as alienated as before in the Australian hip-hop scene,” he shared with the newspaper.
‘We used to feel almost like some kind of novelty.’
The group consists primarily of original members MC Suffa (Lambert), MC Pressure (Daniel Smith), and they are supported musically by DJ Debris (Barry Francis).
In 2014, their previous studio release, titled “Walking Under Stars,” reached the top spot in Australia and received a double platinum certification.
In February 2019, the group supported Eminem on his Australian and New Zealand concert tour.
As a devoted admirer, I proudly acknowledge that this hip-hop collective has amassed an impressive eight ARIA Awards, establishing them as the undisputed Australian trailblazers in homegrown hip-hop.
