Australian fashion mogul suffers medical scare during pregnancy

Australian fashion mogul Effie Kats has suffered a medical emergency while pregnant.

On Sunday, the 34-year-old posted a photo from the hospital on Instagram, explaining she’s taking time to rest and recover after realizing she needs to slow down.

She shared that the last few days of her pregnancy have encouraged her to take it easy and focus on both her well-being and the baby’s health.

Effie reassured her fans she was taking a break but said ‘everything is ok’.

‘I’ve taken a little step back to rest and reset and thankfully, everything is okay.

Every pregnancy is unique, and things don’t always go as planned. Remember to prioritize your health and listen to what your body needs – you can put everything else on hold for now.

Effie announced she was expecting her first child with her husband, James Cerolini, in August.

She shared a gallery of precious photos to social media, in which she confirmed she was pregnant.

I’m absolutely loving the sweet family moments Effie and James are sharing! There are some incredibly touching photos circulating – one of Effie gently cradling her baby bump, and another of James tenderly touching her belly. It’s just beautiful to see that connection and anticipation for their little one.

The couple also shared an ultrasound image, revealing their baby is due in January.

Effie shared that she’s been keeping a wonderful secret and is incredibly excited about what’s to come, hinting at a new addition to her family.

Effie is a well-known fashion designer in Melbourne, and her clients include celebrities like Nadia Bartel, Carrie Bickmore, Kelly Rowland, and Rebecca Judd.

In November 2023, she walked down the aisle with her finance broker fiancé James in Melbourne.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe it! They actually got married! It was the most incredible, over-the-top wedding at St Patrick’s Cathedral – seriously breathtaking. And the reception? Forget about it! It was at the State Library Victoria and it was just…opulent. Everything was perfect, absolutely perfect! I wish I’d been there, it sounded like a fairytale.
