Aussie TV star reveals the moment he found out his partner was pregnant before suffering heartbreaking loss

Bill Goldsmith and Isabelle Eiserman announced the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, who was stillborn on Monday.

A heartwarming, yet poignant, video has emerged showing Bill’s reaction to learning he was going to be a dad.

A video posted to Instagram shows the couple painting each other’s portraits while sitting at a table. Isabelle can be seen laughing at the portrait Bill painted of her.

When Isabelle revealed what she’d created for Bill, he was surprised to find it wasn’t a painting of him, but rather a special announcement.

The artwork featured a simple line drawing of the couple, with the Bachelorette star standing behind Isabelle, who was lovingly holding her baby bump.

A vibrant rainbow arched overhead as the couple and their dog posed for a sweet announcement: they’re expecting a baby!

Isabelle then confirmed the news by presenting Bill with a positive pregnancy test.

Isabelle explained that she and Bill had planned to paint each other’s portraits, but this video captured a more memorable moment instead.

Sadly, the couple’s happiness didn’t last long. Bill and Isabelle announced this week that their daughter had passed away.

The couple announced the heartbreaking news on Instagram, sharing a series of black and white photos of them holding their baby girl.

Our baby girl, Olive May Goldsmith, was stillborn on Thursday, October 31st, at 4:14am. She was 27 weeks along.

She fought incredibly hard, particularly in recent weeks, despite facing overwhelming challenges. She consistently amazed her doctors and midwives with her resilience, continuing to persevere until her body could no longer continue.

The devastated couple added they were still processing the sad news.

They described a love unlike any they’d ever experienced, and a pain to match. The phrase ‘There is no heartbeat’ will stay with them always, they shared.

The couple shared that the three days they spent in the hospital with their newborn, Olive, were the most difficult of their lives.

They spent hours cuddling, kissing, and caring for her. They dressed her, read to her, sang to her, and took her outside, constantly telling her how perfect and loved she was.

Saying goodbye to Olive was the most painful experience of our lives. No parent should ever have to leave the hospital without their newborn baby.

Olive, we loved you more than words can say. You were so strong and brave right to the very end, and you gave your mom and dad the strength they needed during this incredibly difficult time.

The couple’s friends quickly took to the comments section to offer their words of support.

‘This broke my heart, I’m so sorry guys. Sending you all my love,’ wrote influencer Mitchell Orval.

‘Sending you guys so, so much love. I’m so sorry,’ added social media star Chloe Szepanowski.

‘Heartbreaking! I’m so sorry,’ wrote The Bachelor’s Juliette Herrera. 

The Block’s Marty Fox simply shared a love heart emoji that spoke volumes. 

In September, the couple announced they were having a baby, sharing a picture of a cake decorated with ultrasound photos.

Isabelle announced she and her partner are expecting a baby in January 2026, and playfully noted how quickly time is passing, saying their current child is already halfway grown!
